Where do companies looking for drivers advertise? If I wanted to apply direct instead of relying on an agency, where would I check? I’m only looking for 7.5ton work at the moment - I’ll be doing Cat C soon. Any suggestions gratefully received!
You could google local firms in your area and phone the transport manager or hr dept or even better call in person and have a chat. Lots of newbies on here have done that and had success.

Google for companies in your area mate. I would always call ahead try and arrange a meeting with the TM. I didn’t and got turned away by the security guards.
The most success stories you read here come from drivers visiting firms and just asking in person.
You can go in the .gov website and check all o licence holders in your area. From this you can get a list of addresses to try.
