jobs for dozy

As the dozy one is always the dating to leave the green army, i thought were else around Grantham would want a superstar trucker, the answer was obvious, surprised the moaster hasn’t invited him up for a tour.
The dozy could go from the green army to the red plague you’ve got it go and work for XPO at easton and become a fridge boy’o.

Well in Dozys defence he surely couldn’t be as bad as some of the cabbages that the agency have recently sent in, you know the type, the ones that think that because it’s an inload that they’re told to drop off that it’s a good idea to drop it with the doors open to make it easier for the shunters!

We’ll if you don’t want him, as he has to much experience, he could go to moy-park.

Actually that’s not a bad idea, May Park is definitely an easy and clean job, apparently the wages are good and the hours are sensible. It’s a job I’d consider if it all went Pete Tong at my current place.

I’ve worked for xpo when it was salvoes thanks , I’m not going back to them old ratty cf,s , I have standards , moy park ( padleys ) stinks of burnt chickens ( I lived on hazel wood drive , gonerby hill foot ) , deliverd there . so no again for me there
I’m hoping that either Irlams ( I liked that job ) open there yard back up on harlaxton road or b&q open back up on Trent road ( another job I liked ) .
But brakes will do for now , though I did here asfordby haulage & storage maybe taking on , pulled out of there for Irlams so may apply . I’m no 1 trick pony so will be fine

With his recent Stobrats experience, he may qualify for this - (non driving & a bit of a commute, but the money’s good).

Not sure. I tipped there the other day, it smelt of actual ■■■■ and there’s a list of ‘drivers to see’ and they all start with ‘Mr’ then the surname. Seemed a bit too formal for me lol

Oh how wrong, XPO is all shiny actros 4, and you get use to the smell.
I suppose won’t be seeing the dozy 1, unless he’s at yearsleys at beaulie park loading, or swappingtrailers. Could be really unlucky and have to sit in the porta-cabin at reading with him.

Dozy I never realised that you worked for Irlams was it out of ACC or what is now Grantham books? I used to work for Asfordby back 1996-2002 they were a decent outfit then but I haven’t seen many of their trucks about for ages.
Are SCC still going or Bass transport?

I’m mostly concrete , explore , Aig so wear orange high viz top and mostly orange high viz trousers so green of brakes will be different , no idea what money is , but I’ll live with it if I can get more time at home , assuming I get the job

Disappointing number of haulage firms in Grantham really, brakes always advertising tho. Maybe that’s just my inquisitive view on it.

No not a lot of anything left in Grantham , big employers like aveling bar ford , Marcoes, Coles cranes etc etc gone , high street dead , etc etc , yet they want to build 1,000,s more houses , I guess it’s becoming more a commuter town for Notts , London etc
My girls just left Grantham hospital and gone to city hospital Notts , bought a house in Notts , who can blame her there’s next to nothing in Grantham and can’t see it changing

Try and be a good lad if you get the job, Brakes are super keen on enforcing the rules & regs… good luck, it sounds like the right move for you!

Have you thought of Mountains waste? Skip work may be dirty but you are home every night and you can wash the muck off, or there’s Greenfeeds just off the A52 near Bottesford iirc.

The ideal job for Dozy (subject to retraining) would be a chiropractor

I recently used one , I think it’s bloody hard work for them , young lass I had , had both her wrists strapped up , I’d of thought it would take a toll on your body
