Annoyingly (aimed at the website, not you) those links don’t work :frowning:

Just yesterday i looked through ALL the HGV driving jobs on the jobcentreplus website and was horrified by the rates i saw.

It seems 7.5 tonner jobs are relatively the best paid for the degree of responsibility involved.

You mean weight carried. You cannot be anymore responsible for 3 tonnes than 26 tonnes. They also abide by bthe same laws, vehicle checks etc…

They also abide by bthe same laws, vehicle checks etc…

A lot less laws applying, though not as many less as there were a few years ago.

e.g. most weight limits exempt, Euro sunday driving exempt, no major height issues, no length limits, not subject to many width restrictions, no LGV license required by mature car license holders, and was no speed limiter, or m/way outside lane ban.No coupling/uncoupling to worry about. My post stands.

I wouldn’t bother applying for jobs through the job centre, you never hear anything back and I have yet to know someone getting a job off them.
Still they winge about 150 HGV jobs not being filled at my local job centre, don’t know why they bother. :imp:
