It is with regret that I have to inform members of the death of Jimmy Waddle.
Jimmy was a driver of the old school, starting his career in the sixties.
He worked for many renowned haulage companies of that era in the Bathgate Scotland area.
He finished his driving days, working for Tesco Distribution from their Livingston RDC.
It is here that my friendship with Jimmy began and we remained friends after we both retired.
He was a keen photographer of Lorries and would often be seen taking pictures at Killicrankie on the A9 in the layby just as you would start to climb up the glen.
He was also a keen cyclist and hill walker.
He will be sadly missed by me and many other transport people.
Rest in peace my dear friend.
Garry.
always had a good bit craic with jimmy, mind of information he was, rest in peace jimmy
Met Jimmy a couple of times and spoke on the phone as well. Grand Lad and a loss to Road Transport. He was happy living with his family in Livingston and getting out in his bike.
R.I.P. Jimmy.
