I think the Great Northern got pulled down when the new Aire Valley road was constructed it was at the bottom of Wakefield Road ,last i heard Mick Hannan was working for HLH

I think the Great Northern was pulled down long before the Aire Valley Rd was planned.
IIRC it was at the junction of Wakefield Rd and Adolphus street, by the Adolphus goods yard , probably went in the late '60ā€™s.
ā– ā– ā– ā–  Corner used to work, before A1 , for R Dennison/F Obank on Tong St. and I am fairly sure that Mick hannan started out at National carriers on Valley Rd.
Didnā€™t Ashies drivers use the Lord Clyde as their bradford office?

Could have been any pub to be fair

There were 2 pubs at the bottom of wakefield rd 1 was the Bedford ,i thought the other was the Great Northern , im probably wrong but they did pull a pub down around that area when the roundabout went .Mick also worked at Colemans for a while

yes he did work at Colemans for a time, I remember him there along with Colin Craven .

the Bedford Arms was there till they started the new rd.
