Superb night good turnout about 40 really enjoyed seeing them all together after so long and looking at the photos have now met Matthew Pratt who has a fantastic archive of ashworths pics including the elusive cab trailer am going to see him in a couple of weeks and get copies . Nice to see flat nose and young Dave there roll on the next one

the wagon and drag transporter . my farther was the first driver and was the first to drive tractor dawn the ramps of the top deck witch were too short and crashed the bottom so they length ed them by two foot . his name was ā– ā– ā– ā–  driver.

Hi Peter, i remember your dad working for us in the early 70s he gave me the photo of the wagon and drag then ,by the way i drink with your cousin Graham at the robin in silsden we ran on the continent at the same time.

0heres a photo for all ashworth fans.Corect me if i,m wrong ,left to right jack ashworth, jack wood ,old ashy driver and fred elmsley ,that the guy with the bald head he worked at tillotson as the foreman fitter.,

The name of the guy with the Bald head, was Fred Emsley, he was the Foreman at Tillotson’s and he and Jack restored the Leyland up in Jacks garage at Allerton. Between them they took it all over the country on various rallys and did the Transpennine in it several years on the trot. It passed to Jack’s daughter when Jack & Fred died. Two great guys!!

My dad remembers jack getting the f88 new he even remembered the reg he said it was only three weeks old when someone hit jack when he was parked in a layby and took the side of the cab off lucky escape
