Yes there was a lot of good motors down at newark last weekend a lot of other stuff beside AECs a good day out.

Here,s one for you peter got it today with some other stuff for my book.

Superb photo scud i only remember the scania when it had been took off the road it was parked next to the hilltop garage looking a little worse for wear

Hello Scud, heres a cutting of XDT284G in British Ropes colours,Cheers Bubbs,

Hi bubbs iposted this photo on the scania110 thread and i wrote about it being one of bridons motors ,it great to see that you found a photo of it ,are you going to p ost it on there? cheer,s scud.

I never knew Ashy ran any Scanias who drove it and did he have anymore ?

hi ramone the first driver was crokett then mathew pratt then dibb dibb ,i was talking to trevor in the yard today ,showed him the photo and this is what he told me.

Would that be the first foreign motor he bought?

Idont know ramone he had an f88 it was Hreg and derek foster drove that he also had some F86 and a DAF2600 but which came first i dont know ,ill find out though from trev or jack when i see them and let you know.

i asked dad and the scania wasnt the first foreign motor as it was about 4 years old when ashworths got it and they had f88s on h plates and f86s on l plates he did say it was always breaking down hence it being the only one ever operated

Have you seen this shot before peter?
