Looks like Jacksons Transport Ossett have decided to shut up shop
Companies House show them as “Active” and Mr Google doesn’t show any news items.
Any links or just a rumour?
Need to back that up with some kind of evidence, “rumour posts” tend to get removed without notice
All their kit is for sale at BPI normanton
On the BPI auction website it does say pending appointment of the liquidators, and can’t find any other official announcement.
Surely they should not be the first to announce it until liquidators have been appointed. But BPI have put it into the public domain anyway presumably with the owners consent.
Actually it says liquidator not administrators just for clarity. To liquidate the assets before winding up or closing.
It’s also a wonder that in this day and age they have no website either. Unless it’s been recently taken off line.
I said shut up shop never mentioned administration or liquidation
No one said you did say that. But liquidation means to sell off assets to pay creditors before closing down. I did say before appointing administrators then when I looked again it says before appointing liquidators hence why I added the liquidators note for clarification.
Either way even saying a company has shut up shop without any confirmation will likely get removed anyway.
Usually forced or by voluntary liquidation.
There are 3 types of liquidation:
- creditors’ voluntary liquidation - your company cannot pay its debts and you involve your creditors when you liquidate it
- compulsory liquidation - your company cannot pay its debts and you apply to the courts to liquidate it
- members’ voluntary liquidation - your company can pay its debts but you want to close it
