Jackknifed truck A1

Anyone see the jackknifed truck on the A1 Friday AM just north of the Darlington Motorway split? Was a skelly with a 20’ blue box and what looked like a white DAF. The cab was actually off the mountings and face down on the road. I think the driver was ok as there were people walking around (just happened as I came down the hill) pulled over as they were sweeping the road, jumped out to chuck some snow at the screen and nearly went A over T the road surface was like glass.

Hope the driver was ok (apart from needing new trousers)

Any body got any further info on this?

No news on the driver as yet , hope he was ok though

you should have carried on up the a1 on thursday night,and you would have seen another 11 jacknifed between newcastle and edinburgh. :laughing:

I’ve heard he’s ok, broken ribs, and a few cuts and bruises.
