Aye Dennis, The old Mustang I remember when they got it brand new, A lad called Harry Humphries drove it for a while Then Billy Graig got it, It was the only twin steer they ever ran, They were forever getting pulled over by the law on to weighbridges as they were a difficult motor to get the axle weights right, Sadley these two drivers are no longer with us, The good old days Eh, Regards Larry.

Aye Larry,I recall Nelsons of Arnside ran a couple of Mustangs, one they had got new and a secondhand one they bought off a Milnthorpe O/D but it had a 24ft flat and it always looked terrible with that extra couple of foot on the flat, they must have been a nightmare load legal eh! But I would say the Mustang was acknowledged to be the best of the Steers. The Steer was the next step up from the 4 wheelers with regard to getting a “lift” in ULW on an"A" Licence.Cheers Dennis.

Many thanks for the compliment, but I misunderstood the thread, I thought it was about an old haulier no longer in business. I am however delighted to hear about Nigel’s employment with this company!
