Looking at that Scammell Larry you would expect it to “draw” a pull from the Ministry by the way it appears to be sat on it’s arse eh!,I’m not for one minute suggesting that it was overloaded but it’s “demeanor” does it no favours eh! Cheers Dennis.

Lawrence you are to be congratulated for your efforts posting the photographs , comments etc with reference to what must be one of the few real !!! hauliers out there . Since you are now retired and have plenty of time on your hands you could turn to publishing ! a book about if not only about Adams history and perhaps also many other well known N.E. hauliers , if you got a move on it could be a best seller for Christmas , again many thanks for you very interesting posts .

Aye well that was John (Ginger) Irvine, He worked for Jakey a lot of years, The other driver Craggsy is still about Now aged 80 , Regards Larry. PS. The reg on the BMC, Was it NJR— or LTN— ■■? it would be one or the other.

Looking back & having a think about the Hut, Im sure to begin with it was a Caravan, I recall the fellow behind the counter saying would I mind waiting a short while as he was thawing the bread buns out, Id never heard of frozen bread buns at all, I did think he was pulling my leg, But of course he wasn’t, Happy Days Eh, Regards Larry.
