Nice photo of this 1947 Scammell another classic from Watford Brtitish Engineering at its best , whatever went wrong there, they were the greatsest in their day, my Grandfather drove Scammells for years & he loved them & so do I , regards Larry.
The only Scania Townson had in there fleet.until Sadlers came along in 1980.

I think it was in the collection that Rogers daughter lent me, as I have the same one
Early last year i was thinking of making J.L Townson dedicated website but was contacted by a member of the family and told in no uncertain terms that they did not want details of their old company broadcast on the internet so that was that.
