Hi, a cousin of mine did a bit for them about 3 yrs ago he lives in sunderland he was away as it says min 3 wks but sometimes he had to ask more than once to get home and one time he was expected to be away for up to 5/6 weeks. He left after driving back from spain.
Im not saying the job is bad but just be aware, job may be different than stated at interview stage. If you dont mind not being home then go for it, it may have changed.Good luck.

I don’t mind the being away so much ,as long as the kit is fit for doing that and of course i would expect being paid a suitable amount for doing that

Not sounding good So unless Wages and working conditions have significantly improved since 2009 then i don’t think i’ll bother , and if their web site is anything to go by then it’s looking doubtfull

yea you probably best biding your time look for something better as i heard they wernt good to work for cant remember the name of the guy i spoke to but was a bit ignarant gave me the job but after carefull thought i declined the offer

I’d go to see them, armed with the background knowledge you’ve been given here.
You’ll know what to expect and will have some questions they’ll need to answer to your satisfaction. I wouldn’t write off a job possibility on the say so of an internet forum.

There’s no smoke without fire as they, I will give them a bell, as they are located roughly 150miles from where i live, so they would have to be convincing, For me to go that distance If that’s the correct word for me to drive up their for interview ect, Do they still only use lhd units?

On internet forums there is frequently nothing but smoke.
I’ve no idea if they only run lhd units.

Seen an ex stobby highliner pulling one of their trailers last week on the A34.

they had a few rhd but mostly lefts as most there drivers were portugese or poles but might have changed as looking on here they now running scania .as simon has sed give them a ring and get as much info as you can on them the guy you have to speek to is not the same one i had seen .so things may have changed ,as you have to go a long distance make sure you are happy with the job and ha ho if you out of work give it a go thats the only way you will know .you can allways do a trip or two and if it dont suite you pack it in but while you out on the road take down numbers of other firms running out there and ask about ther is a bit of work if you look just being in the right place at the right time i think

They are not Portuguese drivers, they are from Brazil, same language and cheaper.

If this is the lot i’ve seen on the A1 … they’re running scruffy pale blue left-hook Actros’s

yes think thats them but some body on here sez they on scanias now

I rang them today, nothing doing , jobs filled, but from what the guy i spoke with said the Portuguese drivers (Based from there porto depot ) are doing the Spain porto work now, and the English depot is only doing UK and France work , So the 6 weeks away probably is a thing of the past for the uk based drivers, never got to asking what the pay was like

i too rang them and as tommy t says mainly uk work with a little northern france involved, pay was £1100 in bank a month plus for first 3 mths £200 a week expenses then after 3 months it goes to £300 a week expenses
