Iveco warning light

Anyone know what the amber MET warning light means? 57 plate Eurocargo.

Google says…

The met or mux unit is a small ecu type unit in the near side of the chassis about half way with three plugs going into it , it controls lots of different things from number plate lights to oil pressure etc so unless you have noticed any other faults with it then really it will need to be plugged into a computer to point you in the right direction

EDIT. The first thing I’d try is removing these three plugs, spraying the contacts with contact cleaner and re-assembling. A further quick look at Google suggests that a replacement MET is £390 so it has to be worth a go.

They throw rear frame computer warnings for bulbs out so you may find it’s something as simple as that.

Cheers guys, the rear suspension level warning is flashing intermittently too. I tried lowering & raising it then auto level but made no difference… wonder if the two are linked?

Might be a levelling sensor has failed, the biggest problem with modern trucks (and this was highlighted in CM a few weeks ago) is how often faults are flagged up, not because there is anything mechanically wrong but because there is some sensor or ecu fault. I have had an amber brake warning on my dashboard for over two years now, and my Renault dealer are absolutely baffled by it, it indicated a caliper travel sensor but the caliper worked perfectly when tested, they replaced the sensor but the warning returned immediately and it has passed two MOTs with the warning showing. Best thing to do with most dashboard warnings is to learn to ignore them.

Spot on Mr Monk  It’s been in the garage today & that’s was exactly what it was.

Does it look like a turd with a line through it?

It’s a limper detector. Try another truck.

Thanks for the input… most helpful.
