You seriously need to look at cpap again. You only tried it for a week. It took me a month and 5 different masks before I found one that felt comfortable. I’ve been on cpap now for nearly 3 years and it has transformed my life.
You literally have dozens of different masks to try, so to say you didn’t get on with it after a week is just a bit lame really. You have full face, half face, nasal pillows and nasal masks to try. You even have one that covers the entire face.
Go back and sort it out, you’re endangering not only your life but other road users as well. You shouldn’t even be driving a car. And I will tell you now if you have an accident and the insurance company find out you have sleep apnoea you will be royally shafted.
To meet dvla conditions you only have to average more than 4 hours a night. Within one month of me starting I was and still am averaging 7.5 hours a night.
Daley I don’t feel tired anymore since I no longer do hgv driving I can drive my car and not fel tired , I think half of the problem was early starts and long distances , I really feel ok now , and I just cant have a mask on my face it is just very uncomfortable , I sleep face down as well , but I honestly feel like im cured now

I appreciate what you’re saying but if it is on your file with the dvla you shouldn’t be driving full stop. You are technically driving uninsured because according to dvla you have an undeclared medical condition and you saying you don’t feel tired anymore won’t wash with the insurance company if you have an accident. Your insurance will be null and void and it is likely you will be prosecuted as well.
you need to get a second opinion on your condtion you will then probably have a fight on your hands with the dvla as well.

Or just sign back up to the CPAP scheme - nobody knows if you’re actually using it??
They do know mate. There is a memory card that records hours on machine, level of pressure etc etc. I actually have my check up in a couple of weeks. They download the card give me a new mask just make sure I am complying with the rules and the same again next year.
I couldstrap the mask on my dog ■■
Haha as long the dog doesn’t mind
If it’s any thing like my dog you’ll be knackered it snores like hell
