found these cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? … 67226&rd=1
also, maybe worth me travelling there at this price
Anyone know anything about them

I would check exactly whats on offer for that price David, it does seem very cheap to me.

It may be lilgit I don’t know the firm or it may be quoted ex-VAT, be a promotional price or something, give them a call and ask for their pass rate history, how long they have traded, etc.

Ask what rig they train with it may be minimum spec, not always the best way to go, does not prepare you properly for the real world of Truck driving.

Ask them outright how they can do it so cheap, see what they say?

Good luck anyway,

Like CM said, I would ask them what there pass rate is and if the price is excluding VAT or anything else for that matter that could raise the price. They cant be that busy 'cos you can start as and when YOU desire. I started about a month after booking mine.
Remember if its to good to be true it probably is although there feedback seems to be pretty good so…
All the best though.

I would be very careful buying anything off ebay, seems a bit dodgy to me, and i saw on watchdog that they can write in there own good costomer feedbacks. If i was you i would search for a proper affiliated school that dosent have to advertise on such a site, even if its a bit more expensive, or at least check out the school in person, dont part with any money over the phone.

IMO just because somethings on ebay doesn’t always mean its bad news, however if its cheap (I don’t know if this is) that can be cause for alarm. Like CM says always check everything on offer ie pass rates, how long they have been training is always a good guide. I would disagree about minimum spec, whilst I wish I had passed in a artic and not a drawbar at least I got a test pass with C+E on, even if you do pass in an artic you are only starting the learning process. Good luck anyway.

CJB are a local firm to me.
All I can say is that they’ve been going for quite a while.
The price is on par with what most chargre around Stoke.
A local medical can be arranged for I think around £40, but don’t quote me on that.
Don’t forget, the price is only for one part of the test.
I do not know the person who has placed the advert.
I would recommend phoning them before doing anything.
Apart from that, they are a genuine training school.

Mine cost me £38, admittedly 18 months ago, at a retired doctor’s house in Trentham. Can’t have gone up by too much over that time.

i have just emailed cjb and await a reply

the truck in the flyer looks like a F7 so i would say they have been trading quite a time and its just a bog standard advert …just that they have used ebay has a means to sell something
