Is there a duty free shop on dover docks

as title realy can anyone remember if there is a duty free shop on dover dock side. i know there is on the opposing ports just cant remember if there is one in dover.

Its on the boat

ok thanks… last time i went (just before xmas) there was very limited tobbacco on the boat out and none on the boat back. was going to pre book for click and collect or whatever they call it but you cant reserve tobbacco.

hence the question to see if i can get it dock side rather than chancing it on the return trip

Never seen one in dover, the last time i used the tunnel there was a proper duty free before boarding the train

DFDS has better on board shopping than PandO.

it was dfds i was on… havent used p&o since a few days before the staffing scandal

Are you sure you went to the right shops ?.

I used DFDS in the Summer and was very impressed with the onboard duty free shops.I don’t smoke but guess they’d have the usual choice of premium cigs in the duty free sized packs ?.I usually stock up with spirits and their choice was second to none but didn’t need any at the time.

yes there is only one on board.

when i went in december as i said there was very little choice on the way out and none on the way back. I got my bakki in the shop on the dock french side. When i went 6 weeks before that there was plenty of choice. Apparently there is an international shortage and with the deals that dfds are doing on their crossings i guess they run out.

Where’s the ones on the Woolwich ferry ?

Once told a workmate that I’d come back via the Woolwich 'cos i wanted some duty free. He nodded and walked half way across the yard before he turned and called me some very rude names!
