Currently retraining to class 1 after a long health based career break.
Always worked in IT so interviews required suits.
Bearing in mind a lot of HGV interviews seem to require a driving assignment, what would people consider appropriate interview attire?
I’d imagine a suit would be too much and scruffy old Jeans & t shirt too little.
Shirt/tie & pants?

What do you wear when driving for work? Scruffy jeans■■?
The few Ive had, expecting a driving assessment, I’ve opted for clean fresh black cargo trousers, a smart-ish polo shirt, clean black leather safety boots, and a hi-viz vest either worn or tucked under your arm as I’ve found you always need to trek through/across the yard to get to the transport office, and a pair of gloves in your pocket for trailer legs/air lines! Which I didnt anticipate the first interview and came away with grease covered hands
