Interview Questions?

Im not very good at interviews. What questions should I be asking when they ask me If I have any questions. I want to sound keen and enthusiastic so would like to ask quite a few.

how much ?
how long ?
what time ?

When do i start

Just dont ask how much sick time you get paid

Oh that was top of my list, will have to change that then

ask them if they have a pension scheme it means you are looking for long term employment with them

ask them if as the new boy will they try to shaft you at every opportunity. Or you could ask questions on their particular business.

why has the job become available, what is the chance of progressing within the comp i.e if applicable will they pay for additional training to further you hiab adr etc urm i cant think of anything else!

near the end

ask if they have any reservations about your ability to do the job

if they do you get a chance to put it right

they say you lack multi drop experience :frowning:

tell them about the three weeks you did for 3663 on agency

good luck

I didn`t get an interview, I went straight into a trial run. :open_mouth:
Got offered the job the next working day :open_mouth:
Amazing for these days to be honest, but then the company I work for still change their own tyres etc. :sunglasses: :sunglasses:
Real job for real people!!!

Just don’t wear the Brilloclava

The one I’ve always asked (dont know if it’s the best one for the employer to hear but I think it’s the probably one of the best ones we can ask) is - why did the last driver leave?

Do you spit or swallow.

On one interview after he told me how much I’ll be earning, I was so shocked that my only question was “How much notice you will need when I will leave your company”?

And I had this job and worked there for few months :open_mouth:

i have recently done a resettlement course and was told the best questions you can ask are the ones about the future of the company.IE. where do you see the company in 12 months time? is it looking to expand?

for some reason companies like to be asked this as it gives the interviewer a chance to gob off about the company and “its vision” and spout complete and utter bowlocks to you.

don’t know how true it is but it worked for me. i got my weekend job from asking those questions (according to the TM anyway)

Whatever you do, don’t just ask about the pay rate. Yes it’s important, but it’s not a good idea to go there directly.

Ask about “fringe benefits”; do they supply uniform, if so (and they should) how long before I’m issued with it; as has been said, is there a pension scheme?

Try to phrase your questions as “Would you require me to…” rather than “Do I have to…”; be as pro-active and positive as possible without trying to come across as over-keen. Keep your answers simple and to the point; if you don’t know, admit it. Honesty beats bull ■■■■ every time.

Good advice from Gibsla and garnerlives. Whatever you do, never go into long convoluted stories about your own driving history; most bosses have heard it all before, and in my own experience drivers who waffle too much at interviews do the same on the road!

Good luck; do let us know how you got on.

weekly or monthly pay
do you provide uniform
how many nights out
what sort of shift pattern do they work
do you keep same vehicle
what about training
what about advancement

How often do you have to take it up the Harris? :sunglasses:

You could also ask if it,s acceptable to wear that glased expression when you,re been blatentley lied to.
