Internet on the road . What do I need?

As you can see from the title I m not too clued up on this. How Is it possible to do eBay surf the interweb Trucknet . the news . highways etc…What phone do I need (A Simple one is good) and how much does it cost . Who do you think does the best deal for us (Old) newbies network cost etc …

You need a smartphone or a tablet and a 3G/4G enabled SIM card.

I have an iPad with a three sim which costs £7.99 a month for 1GB of data. You can find much cheaper deals, it’s just easIer for me to stick with it.
Also you can use wifi hotspots in shops and cafés, which are often free, so you’d only need pay the cost of the phone or tablet.
Many phone shops will do a bundle deal on a phone with a data plan, but depends how much you want to pay.

I bought an EE 4g dongle from Currys. £20 a month for 16gb. Can connect it to up to 10 devices apparently. I use it for my phone, tablet and laptop

Simple way is upgrade your phone and package to internet enabled with data.
Plenty of apps to do stuff like ebay.

I can recommend Three, their unlimited data internet packages are well cheap.

Park outside a place like ours at night and log on to the guest internet Wi-Fi for free … just like the weekend Spanish lads do

I get a 1gb of browsing on my Tesco mobile HTC smart phone for £15 a month, also gets 500 minutes and 5000 texts. I also get 10gb of browsing for my tablet. That costs £15 a month for a data only sim card from Mobi-data. It uses the 3 network.

I’ve just got exactly this to replace a Vodafone WiFi doodle. The signal with EE is nuts! Last night it had 4G in an area where my Vodafone Nokia only had GPRS. EE signal wise can’t be beat, it’s just their customer service can leave a little too be desired sometimes

do you not need a password to log in ■■? tried to connect to guest at nestle York (on my phone) and it asked for password . I did consider walking to the gate and asking but I decided to listen to a cd instead. :frowning:
