Internal lighting

Happy new year all
A little help needed if possible , I would like to give my little old cab a new look for the new year
I don’t drive anything special but it’s 1 year old clean tidy with decent livery ( daf cf rigid )
I’m not one for making the truck look like my toy from the garage ( that’s just me not knocking those that do as some do look the business) I just like to keep me very clean and practical inside & out .
Starting to do a few more nights out so thought a few internal lights might be a little cosy ,
Can you buy internal strip lights sort of thing that just plug into either 24v or 12v socket
Don’t want to do any sort of rewireing of any sort that’s not my thing , just something dead easy
Also best place / cheapest to get chrome cab cleaning products as somebody told me the prices can be a fair few quid difference depending where you buy from
Thanks all

Lights get on either Amazon , eBay or in certain truck stops like
Chrome products either from their online shop or truck stops

Glass cleaner and general purpose cleaner is good enough for me, and a lot cheaper than most branded products. I dont like shiny, greasy looking (and sometimes slippery) surfaces. Clean with a matt finish is fine. Mr Sheen if you must! An air freshener of your choice and away ya go! Paying a lot for a cleaner might well mean that you are far more careful about using it, and use more elbow grease, use better, cleaner cloths, etc, maybe it does look cleaner. But the product itself? Use clean microfibre cloth and Ill wager that the end results are the same between most products.
But each to their own.

Maybe replace the existing cab interior bulbs with brighter LED bulbs? Depending on your company ask the workshop or DIY it easily enough. Neater than wires draping everywhere.

Rather than 12/24v strip lights, why not buy a cheap inverter and run the household Christmas type strip lights, bonus is they are now half price in Asda…plus you can run your lap top, tablet, etc on it.

I bought a blue strip light to go in my top bunk, and a one to go on top of my cupboards in the recess at top front of cab…about a fiver in all.
They have the facility to flash if I want…while driving at night I like to create an ‘ambulance’ .

It’s amazing how a different frame of mind in the job prevails, after coming off a heap of sh to a decent truck.
Previous jobs I had half decent stuff, and I’d forgotten what it was like after 10+ years on those abortions.

If it is cleaning type products you are after, then this guy is starting to get some good feedback on Twitter with his products. I use his 4 in 1, and it doesn’t stink to high heaven like some:
