Just stay away from Italy because the old bill aren’t our friends
Dkv/uta website will tell you pretty much every toll you need and how to attain and use.
AS24 now have a box for france, belgium, austria, spain, portugal.
Uta/shell use the same kapsch box which will do the above minus austria.
France, peages on toll roads, Payment by toll box, fuel card, credit card? Cash
Spain, peages on toll roads, Payment by toll box, fuel card, (DKV not accepted on some routes) credit card, cash
Portugal, peages on toll roads, Payment by toll box, cards, (can’t remember if they take fuel cards,) Cash.
Other roads with gantries, compulsory fee, either by toll box, or stop at services after the border (will be sign posted Foreign vehicles or something like that) to register vehicle and payment method, then I think it’s done by ANPR.
Italy, Peages on toll roads, Payment by toll box, via card, credit card or cash,
Austria, Compulsory toll box for vehicles over 3.5t? if you haven’t got one, you can get it at, or near the border.
Germany, Compulsory fee on main routes, Payment by either by toll box, or get a toll collect ticket at most service stations and autohofs.
Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Sweden Denmark, Compulsory Eurovignette, can get it online or at some service stations.
Belgium, Compulsory toll box, can get it before the border, by registering at a remote machine.
I think I’ve covered most of the them, might be a few points people will pick up on and obviously a few countries not included.
Some of the toll boxes can cover severall countries.
