i remember scanlink in hull converting rhd scanias to lhd for export,when i was in there one day for service i was talkin to one of the fitters & he said it took 80 man hours to convert 1 truck & i should think based on the hourly rate they charge i would’nt be cheap.

well at around £70 ph + vat I expect not! The you have the parts on top!!!

many thanks for the links,

the Old Thorburns looks ok but ? with it doing Frigo work and a little knowledge on the working of the tacho, it may need a rebore!
and I find it very hard to pay £37500 for an 02 truck. That in 2012 when Euro 3 ends makes it an expensive truck to run for 4 years.

In fact I would rather buy a new Magnum (with Volvo Engine etc) or Iveco for £56000, at least it would be Euro 5 and last longer than a Euro 3 which expires in 2012 because the way the Germans and Swiss are putting up the road tolls in Europe, Euro 3 will not be worth anything in 4 years time.

have you tried leavesley on the a38 above lichfield .Went past yesterday they had some magnums ,dafs and a scania in,and most of theirs are left hookers

Nottingham, but I’m looking to buy 3/4 trucks, also, in respect of the Magnum they are bring out a new Cab model late next year.
