Am loading on sunday am and was wondering if any one knew if they will let me in if i have my boy with me? (he is 4 years old) I load from bottom right hand corner so obviously have to pass gate house and enter the secure truck park. Just a really good opportunity to take him with me so could do without getting there to find i can’t take him in. Many thanks
Don’t know anything about cargo lux sorry but just a thought, do you use the eurotunnel as they have an age limit for children of (I think) 11 years old.

It’s 12 and strictly enforced too.
Will you be going airside? i used to do a fair bit of airfreight / AOG jobs and often found myself airside when i wasn’t expecting it. If you have a nipper in the cab, they’ll deffinately not let you load / tip airside.
I also found the staff at Lux a bit obnoxious, they started chatting to me in french knowing i was English, when i replied in french they started speaking German!
Food in the canteen isn’t bad though.
Thanks guys, am going by boat so tunnel no issue, luckily if we do go by tunnel go with coaches as livestock so get to stay in cab. Am going airside but not. if that makes any sense! We load from just inside gate at left hand corner so is air side but never had an issue because we just reverse far enough for them to shut gate in front of us. For some reason they would rather loose horses on the runway than the car park! Have emailed cargo Lux to ask the question. Suppose if it is an issue they will be leading them out to me on the access road, that should be fun!

Big mistake, you should have just done what the rest of us do and hidden your boy on the top bunk. 
Cheers Harry, fortunately, they don’t wont to be left with 6 horses to deal with so i have a bargaining chip!!! If they really wont to get ■■■■■■ i can park outside, our cargo has legs so can walk to the truck!!!

Many an hour was spent wedged into the top bunk of a Turbostar/Eurotech of my dad’s as we passed an unfriendly gatehouse!
Probaly a bit late, but I have seen children in the main compound but not noticed any airside.

My daughter went to her first Bikers Rally (3 day weekend party) when she was three years old.
Do you think none of us should have gone there either ?

My Brother used to take his lad with him from the age of 5, he soon learned to hide in the bunk when they went to McCains in Scarborough, so much so that when he went there on holiday he thought he still had to hide.

Yea, my boy started coming away in the truck when he was so young that he used to take his favourite teddy bear with him to cuddle at night, they will be happy memories that he will carry forever.
I used to travel everywere with my dad from a young age. My son goes everywere with me in the school holidays and now my three year old grandson comes out with me. Kids love the adventure of it all

I went with my grandad/stepdad, since the age of 4, by the time i was ten i’d been all over England and a bit of Europe, you can’t buy that experience. My daughters been all over England with me and now wants come abroad, even tho’ she’s working herself now . See the country and Europe and get paid at the same time… Win win in my book
