Im planing on emigrating to Canada and im in contact with a company called, Elite Driver Training Services ltd (immigration and job placement specialists), thay have an office in Cornwall and Canada thay have sent me paper work and contracts and such and will arange training and acomadation and job placement in Canada thay seem very good and frendly, there fee is £5500 to be payed when i get to Canada, this seems to be a heck of a lot of cash? or is that about right?
Has enyone herd of this company or emagrated thru them?
There is no need to use an immigration company. You can do everything they can do… Cheaper.
The best way to get over here is to have a ring round the trucking companies (Saskatchewan, and Manitoba) And ask them if they are recruiting overseas drivers, and if they are enrolled in the PNP program. PNP is run by the Federal Government, to ‘import’ workers for areas that are hard to get people for. Almost all canadians, will try to avoid doing Long Haul, and as such there is a demand for long haul drivers (You will not get any Local work, im 99% certain).
It is possible to train yourself, to drive trucks here. But your company that hires you should pay for it. (Cost me about £1000, as had to take test 3 times due to lack of experience driving in Canada. Note ive been here 3 months and still have no car, but have my Class 1 licence lol)
Accomodation is easy to find, and is quite cheap. you can get a room in a house-share for about £250 for the month.

From what I gather, SK is pretty much out of the loop at the moment, but MB is favourite because it is reasonably stable here right now. I know of one firm hiring from Europe right now. They are just taking on a guy I know. That isn’t saying they are the only firm, but they are simply an example.
To be quite honest, spending money like that is a waste, and that money would be better in your bank account.

You don’t want to go to Cornwall either, Ontario is full of Asian Poles (the ones with the funny headgear) & they’ve carved the job up big time, it’s almost as expensive to live there as it is in England & it’s near Toronto & that place is a ■■■■■■■■
