You can’t get parked anywhere round there because it’s in the middle of Headingley and all the students clog the place up. I can park my car closer by leaving it at home and cycling :open_mouth: .

Why not give her a Mars Bar to cheer her up you seem to give everyone else one

‘… I says to her "look, a dropped kerb can be sorted out easily enough … £300 to one of the council’s ‘approved contractors’ to do it … "look if it bothers you that [zb] much get your own friggin driveway installed then PROBLEM OVER…’
I’m firmly IN THE DOGHOUSE and the only contact I’ve had from her since I left was a SMS which read “nobhead”.

If she’s otherwise alright, I’d buy her the ramp thingy. £300 for a woman is cheap!

Kiddin ain’t ya? That would be a solution to a problem! Can’t have that, nothing to moan about then. :unamused:

“I’m not blocking him in because he doesn’t have a driveway.” “He hasn’t got a dropped kerb and doesn’t have planning permission so he shouldn’t be parked there and should be on the street like everyone else.”

She has a point about the dropped curb but you are also correct about planing permission but below is an example,

If the police were called from the bloke about a car blocking him in, he would’ve got given words of advice, because he has no drop curb so the car blocking the drive is not causing any offence what so ever.

if he had a drop curb and your wife’s car was blocking it then a ticket would be issued if she refused to move it ( after a ten minute verbal )

Not according to the police. Doesn’t matter whether there’s a dropped kerb or not, it’s illegal to block in a vehicle in case of fire.

This post has just made my day, I love it, Spock would say “that woman is illogical captain”

Well done Rob…and i make you right…my ol womans the same, expects me toi back her up even if shes in the wrong…depends on my mood really…but generally, ill only back her if shes right, or if shes being threatened...eg: There is aan area where we can park our cars, which is off road, and there is a slip road to get to the parking, with a pavement on one side...so this guy, ( a relative of osama bin laden ) parks his BMW half on the road, half on the pavement, so as not to block the road up...so my wife prefers to park outside of the parking area, and decides to move her car...so she says to the driver oy you, move your car, you got no right to park there...it in no way blocked or stopped her from driving out, but she insisted on arguing, then mohammed starts swearing...then i got involved..says to him, theres no need to swear, so he says, that silly cow has no right to speak to me like that..so i tells him, if you want to argue..do it to me..he then goes on about, he knows where i live, he will cause me so much trouble..then i lost the plot, said to him, listen, (cant repeat the word ) but sounds like the first word in brackets..dont threaten me, or youll regret it…he then makes a lunge toward me, but i got the first one in…starts bleeding from the nose, starts crying, promises to sort me out, and i`m still waiting…but the moral of this story is dont get involved when a woman is arguing over nothing, especially when it doesnt interfere, or concern her, why do they do it, and expect back up…i interfered once when a guy was beating up his girlfriend/wife…and she then joined in with him to attack me…so now i try and not get too involved, especially in domestics…
