In or Out- the EU referendum mega thread

TNUK’s survey correctly predicted the referendum result although the three to one ratio for out was more than the final figure, implying that drivers were more adversely affected by membership than the average voter. There is a petition, petition.parliament.uk/petitions/131215 for a second referendum. Is this reasonable for such a major issue or is it just a bad loser requesting, “best of three”?

Carryfast:

The-Snowman:
Im claiming victory anyway since he hasn’t replied to me since I called him out on attempting to change the subject to try and avoid the uncomfortable truth

I more than answered your question related to my double standards regards voting the Nation out of existence as opposed to voting to save it.

Er, I didnt actually ask you a question. Stop making stuff up.
I pointed out your double standards, I didnt ask you to explain them. There is no debate here or justification for whatever reason. The fact you are demanding the remainers accept the decision and stop moaning despite claiming openly you would do the same if you didnt get your way is indisputable. Just because you think your right does not mean everyone who thinks differently is wrong. They have as much right to moan about the decision being wrong as you do if it went the other way.

Carryfast:
No surprise that it’s you who seems to be unwilling to answer the question on exactly where you stand regards handing the Nation over to Juncker’s EU Federation v saving it. :unamused:

No surprise its me? How do you come to that conclusion? Ive never got involved in your ■■■■■■■■ when you go off on one so I dont know how it can be “no surprise”
I didnt let you draw me into it because
A - It doesnt change your hypocritical stance which was the main (and only) point. Where I stand is neither here nor there
B - You always change the subject when conversations dont go your way and since you tried it so aggressively with what started out as a light hearted joke I thought “Oh thats the way you want it then?” and decided you were not getting off that easy.
Even the way you word it is typical. 16.1 million people also thought being in the EU constitutes “saving the nation”, all for their own reasons. You dont know voting out was the only way to save the nation anymore than anyone else does. You’re not as clever as you like to think. For all we know it may turn out to be an unbridled disaster of massive proportions. Only time will tell that. The fact there is no gameplan, structure or even a leader at the moment does not bode well or look good. The whole world is watching us and they are running around like headless chickens with no idea of what the ■■■■ to do. They are like rabbits caught in the headlights. I just hope we were right to vote out, or at least that im dead and buried before it starts to come undone.
Incidently, ive said half a dozen times now (even during your random “changing of the subject” ■■■■■■■■) that I voted leave so why you keep thinking I havnt answered is a mystery.

robroy:
I mean, you could never say that his trademark know it all patronising attitude invites it could you.

Perish the thought Rob, perish the thought.

The difference is London and Leeds and Liverpool etc are all within England and the London and Leeds in vote is largely made up of an unrepresentative immigrant enclave local majority that obviously regards itself as non English.Which needs to be ‘re distributed’ around the country by a massive programme of demolition and/or re settlement. If we don’t do that we’re storing up a world of trouble in the long term.

Are you really advocating social engineering?
There lies a very dangerous path !

i wish to say a fond farewell to all the polish who are packing there bags as we type and to all the familys of other ethnics that now feel unwanted here i am sure as they pack up to leave we would want to thank them all for there contribution they have made to our welfare state

So what about all the Brits living/working in EU?
Luke/Switch used to work for an Eire company? Must be many more?
They going to be told to leave?

Oh its all right because they are ex pats… not migrants :unamused: :unamused:

are there any brits working out in the eu earning crap wages ? i very much doubt it
retired people who have made a few quid selling there council houses and got a nice pension and pay out from work would be what you will find mostly out there.
professional people earning professional wages would also be out there but not very many of them. unless they work in the eu offices of course.
the low paid factory worker or driver bellends thats for sure will not be out in the eu they will all be crammed up in this tiny country along with bellends with the bleeding hearts who want even more over here

I hope we do get a brexit pm, and I hope we don’t concede freedom of movement. Not because I’m a racist or a xenophobe, but because it’s the only way to end race to the bottom wages, and it will give the eu the upper hand. It will have been a waste, the outcry that we would be paying in, and accepting free movement while losing the rebates etc, will have most of the fence sitters clambering to join the 16m in wanting us back in, only on much worse terms. The best thing we can do is reject all trade deals based on free movement, and let the Germans dictate the pace to Brussels. Their electorate will not want us punished. We must stay strong or all this was for nothing

did anyone see question time yesterday ? if so wasnt it a good feeling seeing diane RACE CARD abbot so angry towards ukip paul nutall i could see him smiling with such pleasure as the public have really given her lot a nasty kick where it hurts

funny enough we haven’t heard from harriot (hatemen) harmen either

anyone would think the way its all kicking off is if the vote was all about race or telling people we dont want anymore in this country type of thing
which of course it never was was it ?

the hate these political corect loonys have towards people who dont want any more in this country is shocking and they think there on the side of right ? there worse than anyone who belongs in the bnp or extremists organizations. they really couldnt give a monkey about how many come over here or how it will impact on the natives of this country, its seems there message is so long as we let them in then we can worry about the cost later just so long as we dont seem to be racist

only in this country can this sort of nonsense happen. we look after our own people first or we become a nation of god knows what
where else but London would anyone vote for a Muslim mayor ? if that doesn’t show you what is in store for all the other city’s over the next how many years i dont know what will
slowly we will be taken over until we are a state that belongs to Muslims

mind you i do like how they settle things back in there own countrys ie heads cut off or all there other brutal forms of punishment they meet out to there own people we should have that over here then we dare not ever speak out.

who know maybe one day we in england might end up with a freedom fighting force like the ira had and still have ? just to try to get our own country back ?

one thing is for sure we are so divided and if the politicians dont start showing they do put Britain and its people first and things in this country do start to change were we all can see and feel it then things are only going to get more and more extreme
which is the real reason diane RACE CARD abbot is up in arms as she know the people of this country said enough of her vile ways

‘Go back home’ - Bitter backlash post EU referendum
Since the EU referendum results revealed the UK voted to leave, people have been compiling reports of racism on social media.
A number of incidents where people have experienced hostility because of the colour of the skin and their ethnic background have been shared online.

I wonder if Carryfast is going to become their press secretary? :unamused:

I wouldn’t read to much into it. There has been a few isolated incidents, only to be expected. It’s like saying every England fan in France is a hooligan. Whipped up by remainers who are scraping the barrel in trying to turn around a defeat. And for every moron like that who voted out, there were people voting remain on similar divide and conquer politics, just without the use of violence or insults

i got news for you
there was racism before the vote, its never gone away nor will it, the problem is that it might start to grow if things dont start to change to reassure people in this country. i wouldnt mind betting there might be a few riots soon in some areas such are tensions mounting between people

funny thing was i dont remember the bbc reporting on the troubles over in Calais when the vote was reached or the chants by the musilms and others waiting over there to come here of F YOU ENGLAND apparently it got real ugly stones thrown at fooball fans cars returning home all sorts of rubbish but hey i guess thats ok as they have ever right to feel angry at us right ?

The point isn’t that there was racism before, it’s whether this racism grows and spreads as a result of the vote!

selective news posting can make anything look the way the poster wants it to look as your a master of it
dig up the news article about what happened at Calais how the football fans returning home were attacked by those waiting to come over here. but there not racists or vile people are they oh no there just demanding to come over here for there free lunch as if its there right to come here thanks to the word on the street that Britain is a soft touch.

that article you posted is from a site that is looking for increase of racism attacks since the vote so its all there interested in finding out so anyone who dares say anything will get reported and it used as some sort of proof

It’s from the BBC pal, so while I’m not going to claim it’s impartial, it’s not exactly a fringe/extremist website is it?

I’m also not saying that there has been an explosion in racism either am I?
What I am saying is that the BBC deems it to be worthy of mention, and we need to aware of what might be happening, or could potentially be happening…

The BBC have been the biggest ■■■■■■■ scaremongers of the whole goddamned campaign, I will never believe anything I hear reported by the BBC ever again!

Or maybe not so surprising. The majority of drivers are older, and it was older people who were in a larger majority in favour of Brexit.

Well, even your Brexit isn’t going to change the situation in the jungle. Free movement of people will remain, unless you cut yourself of completely from the European market. And refugees will still travel to Calais, hoping to smuggle into Britain.

You can not brick up the tunnel without committing economic suicide.

I for one learnt yesterday that the UK has a trade deal with India that has been put on the shelf by the EU for 9yrs now, because the Italians oppose the deal ? It now works out that if we wish to make a trade deal with a non EU country we require the blessing of ALL 28 members of the EU before we can commence with that trade deal ? There’s 2.2 Billion people outside the EU who have a living standard the same as the middle class here, and we can’t trade with them as a nation ? We can as the Union of Solicits Soviet Europe if we all band together but we can’t ? So now we are out we can trade with them and some of these developing countries have double digit numbers for gdp ? So if we stop whining on who to blame etc then lets get out there and make our economy grow ? Just the same when we came out of the erm.

chrisdalott:
I think that free movement of people will stay, because

  1. Our ruling class want the cheap labour

  2. The referendum was not about ending immigration, it was just in or out of EU and there are the examples of Swiss and Norway . Who both allow free movement but are outside of the EU

  3. The EU will force us to, if even Switzerland which is one of the most independent minded places in the world have to allow all Europe in to work and live, I’m sure we will need to

Unlike Swiss and Norway if we say no what are they going to do about it.Bearing in mind their trade surplus position of weakness.

As for the cheap labour angle that’s only going to be sorted out by kicking the Conservatives out and replacing them with a ‘real’ Labour Party,as opposed to a Socialist pro open door immigration one.

The reference to ‘you’ in that suggests that you’re just another Europhile that has no allegiance or connection to this country.

Like Dolph if you really want a trade war then bring it on.

Shhh don’t be saying that and spoiling things for the doom and gloom mongers.
Have you not heard them all , apparently we are all doomed and going to hell in a hand cart now we are out of the EU. :unamused:
