Immigration hits all-time high

tmcassett:

Franglais:
Many of the Brexiteers tell us that they aren`t xenophobes, nor anti-immigration, and that Brexit was all for other* things.

We’re not, but there is also nothing wrong with wanting to look out for and look after the people in your own country “first” before becoming a charity for others. However that notion is usually lost on you woke lefty types who find it much easier to just throw the lazy and generic “thick, racist, little Britain” type accusations.

“Type accusations”, so I`ve not called you “thick” nor “racist”? No, I thought not.

“whining like a petulant school child” and “whinging like a little ■■■■■”.

If you are seeking the moral high ground, you are doing as well as providing a coherent argument in favour of Brexit.

tmcassett:
the hits are great but sometimes you just crave for some new material.

I see your problem. No good news on the Brexit front is there?
Nothing much happening for you to point out where it is all going well, is there?

Oh, how you must crave something concrete about rather than the personal attacks you have to resort to.
Anything, rather than discuss the issues.

tmcassett:

JeffA:
All that voting for Brexit “to reduce migration” and now it’s higher than it’s ever been and getting higher every year. Go figure.

Yesterday the Financial Times reported that migration figures due out later this month are expected to show net migration at record levels. It said net migration was at 504,000 between June 2021 and June 2022, but that the figure for 2022 could pass 700,000.
Today the Telegraph reports that the figure could reach almost one million.

To be expected when you have a whole parliament full of ministers across all parties who never wanted Brexit in the first place.

Really?
Did you miss the General Election in 2019? The people voted! The country spoke!
Did you see who was in the Johnson Cabinet? Did you see the unelected cabinet minister negotiating with the EU?

Who is your next door neighbour? CarryFast??
You must be living in an alternative dimension!

Being honest here I wish we had never joined the EU in the first place,as we would have had none of the [zb] divide we are having today, it’s their plan and always will be,it’s called divide and rule.

We DIDN’T join the EU - we joined the ‘Common Market’, the European Economic Community. Or should I say the government of the day joined on our behalf, without actually asking us, the electorate, by means of a referendum whether we wanted to join or not. The Common Market, we were told, was a purely trading arrangement. Look how that turned out.

 1. A binding referendum 67% in favour with 64% turnout.

 2. Treaty of Rome: “ever closer union

The simple truth is that they (the EU) simply couldn’t allow a seamless exit because they knew with absolute certainty that if that happened then numerous other EU victims would be queuing up to leave and their whole corrupt and rotten deck of cards would come crashing down.

Luckily they have an abundance of collaborators at hand to promote their bull [zb].

Factualy untrue.
pewresearch.org/global/2019 … ean-union/
pewresearch.org/short-reads … countries/

Where do you get stuff like that? From news rags owned by foreigners and/or UK owners who arrange non-dom status so that their obligations to the UK are avoided or evaded?

Collaborators?
Like the Defence Minister of an EU country who skipped away from his security detail to go to a foreign boozy party, where he met with “ex” KGB officers?
And the same Ex minister arranged for foreign based (and party donor) to an unelected position in the state legislature.

The EU arent "punishing us" They are merely applying to us all the rules that apply to all 3rd countries. We are now a 3rd country because of our choice. Yknow? 2+2=4.

You chose it! Why moan and whinge about it?

Even with the 2019 election it is still someone else to blame. A landslide victory for a pro Brexit PM on a “get Brexit done” manifesto.
Even now, the Brexiteers are blaming someone else, the rotten EU being nasty, the wrong ministers, the wrong civil servants.
Even with the way things are going, some still think the unicorns are still there…just over the horizon…
…if only we all had tried harder, believed…
…had faith

It will never have a fair trial as the whole sh show is being ran and manipulated by remainer politicians who never wanted to leave in the first place, and who are still nursing their blooded noses and their hurt pride,.as said from 7 years ago.

Franglais, lover of the EU,
Multilingual and cosmopolitan too,
Brexit might have caused a boo-hoo,
And most of TN really dont give a pooh.

Think I preferred “I don’t wanna be a truck driver”. It’s that “difficult second album” syndrome I think, more sherry for you Vicar, you need to lubricate the creative juices (oo-er missus)

I’m thinking you need to set that one to the tune of Ra-ra-Rasputin by Boney M, You’ll need to tweak it a little to make it scan properly though.

There should be a TN rule that any rhyming contributions should first have a tune picked, then the words are written, then there’s a TN competition to “Guess that tune”

Here’s one I prepared earlier to start us off (first verse only, chorus to follow)
Answers on a postcard please, working title is “Confessions of an impromptu Brexiteer” which bears no relation to the original tune:
I voted Brexit
I’m not a racist
I thought I knew what I wanted
And how I should get it
Now we’ve effed thee economy

(Hint *thee for rhyming effect with economee)

Didn’t Boris the Buffoon actively deceive us (Oh sooooo many choices of deception) that we’d have £350 million extra per week to fund the NHS?

If that was true, where has that £19 Billion gone? Not on the NHS otherwise the staff wouldn’t have needed to go on strike.

If it wasn’t true, why isn’t he in jail getting cornholed by some nasty gangsta rapper?

Just like Trump and that wall he promised the Yanks. I’m beginning to think these politicians can’t be trusted…

I read today that Priti Patel is part of some new group, according to one news source, the Conservative Democratic Organisation is a new grassroots pro-Boris Johnson group. As if the Tories haven’t effed themselves enough already, some of them are digging a new hole.

If only Kier Starmer had some cajones, he’d be romping home in 2025

Are you ■■■■ serious :open_mouth:■■
Anything that is said on here by those who chose Brexit is not complaining or playing the victim, it is a direct response and reply to you moaning whingers who did not get their own way.
If it was not for you lot these threads would not exist.
How many threads have been started by people who wanted Brexit complaining about it ?
Answer NONE.
I even hasten to call myself a ‘Brexiteer’ it was 7 ■■■■ years ago, most of us have just moved on, if things do not go tight with political policies…wtf is new exactly?? :unamused:
So stick her card up yer jacksey, …or pass it on to Franglais.

Just to introduce a pertinent fact - the vast bulk of the million migrants are non-eu.

Yes, but it wont be a problem. You see, Poland and the ex-commie blok countries have improving economies and so now their workers want better wages. UK business cant afford to pay more wages and pay out dividends. Unrealistic.
By going further afield (adapting to the Brave New post Brexit World) our investors can source newer, cheaper, labour. A great win for UK big business!

Tell us more about FCO/1046 which Health and pro European Federalists Wilson and Callaghan all hid from the electorate.Bearing in mind that as a non member state The Treaty of Rome never applied to us at the time Heath took us in and we didn’t get a referendum at that point.
Obviously a 72% turnout and more votes to leave, when the facts regarding EU supremacy over member state laws, became clear.

Non EU immigration backed and supported by the EU.To the point of threatening the East Euro states like Hungary with economic sanctions if they refused to toe the EU line.
Agreed the UK government had been just as bad running a two tier selective system of cheap ‘Commonwealth’ labour immigration is fine.
But a reverse racist closed door policy applies to us wrong colour and high wage expectation Anglos moving around/between our own colonies.

Never mind Frangers, you’ll b.■■■■■■■■■■■ in yer kecks soon, when Labour.get back in,.all this misery plague and pestilence will soon be a memory…or will it?..hmmm.
After all you got your wish,.the biggest asset and vote winner for the Tories is history thanks to his glasses of Chardonnay 76 and vol au vents after work, ooh the drama.
Who knows your life’s dream may come true, a re referendum, and another one, (and another one,).until you get the desired result ,.and we are all saved.,… seeing as all us Brexiteers (at that time :unamused: ) are all in regret (according to you lot anyway) Nirvana at last.

I’ve heard your old mate Gordon Brown is putting himself up as an advisor,.a bit like Steve McClaren doing the same for Gareth Southgate…I know how you love my football analogies.

Soon we’ll be in Leftie and woke heaven, under the umbrella of the EU,.and utilising all the diversity brought about by the boatload…literally. :unamused:
We can only dream. …watch this space.

Another fact - these million migrants are not the ones in the boats.

That’s some level of sad, trawling through my previous posts from 2022 and even back to 2021 to try and prove a point. :open_mouth:

P.S no seeking the moral high ground here, just pointing out how pathetic your constant obsession with something that did not do your way from 7 years ago is. My 2 kids (both under 5) show more maturity than you when they don’t get their own way. Plus let’s not forget that even certain staunch Pro-EU posters on here have told you how sad your obsession is and to let it go.

Yeah I saw it, the public also spoke in 2016 when Cameron massively underestimated the ill feeling in the country. The results came in and politicians have done nothing but play lip service since then because none of them ever wanted Brexit.
