Illegal immigrants, why they comin here etc…? At no point did i really think it was " how to keep them out". Of course that is the responsability of the Haulier ( O lIcence holder).
You may be to young to know this but there was a time the Irish accent was enough to put you into the same category as an Islamic freedom fighter .
I’m not saying its right i’m just relating how it was.

I know it was look at page two of this topic I have no problem with immigrants
Legal or not

The difference in that case being that the former really were fighting a defensive action against those typical Anglo Saxon flaws of greed and sometimes vicious expansionist racism. As opposed to the Islamic cause which has always been an offensive one of racism and murderous intent directed at anyone who they dislike and/or chooses to reject their inherenty vicious culture.

As for Irish Lorries.Assuming that’s your position then that obviously contradicts the idea of opposing the localised,in large part ethnic immigrant,English Unionist government in Northern Ireland. As opposed to supporting the indigenous nationalist government in the South.IE there is a point where excessive immigration changes the demographics and identity of a nation either locally or totally.

That’s without,in this case, factoring in the other issues of extra demand for housing and social services that all has to be paid for from decreasing tax revenues in the resulting lower wage economy than would otherwise be the case.

Silver_Surfer:
Poverty is relative, none of us here have tasted true hunger or despair.

The reason being that they’ve not lived during a time before the indigenous working classes organised themselves and won out, against the inherent economic greed and injustice which existed here at least up to the Victorian era and in many cases long after into the early 20th Century. The difference in that case being the will to fight against it rather than run away. That and Anglo Saxon Germanic know how in being able to make a modern developed industrial society work.Everything going backwards in that regard now partly as a result of cheap imported labour and allowing the Thatcherites to turn us into a post Fordist industrialised economy. :unamused:

Both paddys seen getting out of prison van this morning chelmsford magistrates. Near my house, will now be in chelmsford jail pending trial

Read their names in the paper funnily enough neither has the first name of Patrick so to you they are Irish, odd all the debate about immigrants and you come out with that statement. I happen to know one of them very well and while I completely disagree with what he has done if he is found guilty, you can keep the out of date name calling to yourself.

To be fair, it did say on the news that they were from Ireland.

I think the point Mazzer is trying to make is that it is not politically correct call Irish people “Paddies” nowadays. Perhaps the French shouldn’t call English people “Rosbifs” and the Germans shouldn’t call us “Inselaffes” either although we English don’t seem to have the delicate sensitivities of some. :stuck_out_tongue:

Northern Ireland is sometimes Ireland when it suits the English and it’s more often England when it doesn’t.

Which translates as the English want to import as much cheap labour as possible from the third world while pretending that they don’t.Then subbing out the importation of same to Northern Ireland and then blaming it on the Irish. :smiling_imp:

According to switchlogic they are even when they’re 75% English and have never been to Northern or Southern Ireland in their life. :smiling_imp: :unamused:

Fair enough Harry, it doesn’t usually bother me too much as long as it is not said in an offensive manner however if they were black no one would use the N- word to describe them, and TBH it is the British liberal elite who seem to be sticklers for all this political correct claptrap more so than most others

It’s only really time for an argument and calling a Kraut a Kraut if they call us an Auslander instead of an Englander or Inselaffe. :smiling_imp:

As for the Sikh Afghans maybe they’d got fed up with being called Abu instead of Singh so decided to move to a neutral country.
