The way you spin things Carryfast you’d make a first class UKIP MP. Whatever you say it seems we’ve rarely if ever been the first choice destination for immigrants from outside the EU. Look at the figures, they honestly surprised me, I honestly thought the UK would be at or near the top, not fifth with over 100,000 less than Germany and France.

Another interesting point was the EU border agency, and countries reluctance to contribute to it. Esp Britain. This problem would be much better tackled as a whole instead of individual countries. If it was centralised though and applications were processed centrally and immigrants dispersed throughout the EU with each country taking a share depending on their size, although we’d probably end up taking more!

Firstly I’ve actually got my doubts as to wether UKIP is as committed to closing the doors to the type of immigration which we’ve had to put up with here over the years as it would like everyone to think it is.IE it has a larger make up of disillusioned Thatcherites in it’s ranks than real Labour. In which case just as Labour is lumbered with it’s socialist ideology the Cons or any of their offshoots like UKIP are always going to be lumbered with the demands of cheap labour employers which is what our immigration policy has mostly been all about.

As for Germany let alone Austria etc don’t believe everything you read. There’s a big difference between ‘applications’ for immigration as opposed to acceptance.Let’s just say that I’ll believe that Germany is as committed to the mad open door British model when I see Bavaria and the Tyrol being turned into somewhere like Middlesex etc.IE those German pubs are in general still populated by the similar type of German red knecks as in the 1920’s and 30’s with similar views regarding immigration and auslanders as their ancestors and that’s just in the case of the English who are in many cases more or less as German as what they areAs I’ve often explained to them with references to our Royal family and Anglo Saxon roots. :open_mouth:

A man has been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter after a man was found dead inside a shipping container in Essex.

The man was one of 35 people from Afghanistan including 15 children, found at Tilbury Docks on Saturday.

Essex Police said officers in Northern Ireland had arrested a 34-year-old man from Limavady on suspicion of manslaughter and facilitating illegal entry into the UK.

He is due to be transported to Essex for questioning later.

The group arrived in the UK on Saturday on a ship from Belgium and were said by police to be victims of “people trafficking”.

They were discovered after dock workers heard banging and screaming coming from one of the containers.

Twenty people suspected of being illegal immigrants have been discovered by police in the back of a lorry in Somerset.

Police said the lorry was pulled over on the A303 at Ilminster in Somerset, at about 13.00 BST.

Paramedics are treating the group for dehydration and immigration authorities have been called in.

Avon and Somerset Police are trying to piece together how the group came to be on the lorry and where they came from.

“Their health and welfare is paramount as we try to piece together with the immigration authorities exactly what has happened,” the force said in a statement.

South Western Ambulance Service said none of the group were taking to hospital and all were treated at the scene.

Advice you’d do well to take heed of I’d say

So its the immigrants fault there countrys are poor. No doubt if you had been born in Bangledesh or or cambodia you as a night trunk lorry driver would have been able to turn the country round.
We are lucky to be from an affluent country and i personaly think the free movement of eu citizens and the eastern european invasion and the amount of immigration to this country isnt a good thing but how can normal people stop it.

I make a little stand-I wont use those suspicious chaps in Sainsburys car park to scratch, sorry “wash” (word used as lightly as they use water) my or my wifes’ cars. I suddenly go deaf or get the urge to look the other way when “carwashbosh” comes my way.
I can’t imagine Curryfart using the “Hands-on” service either.

Voting UKIP would probably be a good start.

On the issue of trying to make the case of thinking that more immigrants have been/are actually being let into Germany than there have been/are here since the end of WW2 to date, based on ‘application’ figures,it’s you who needs to wake up and smell the coffee. :unamused:

Just a couple of points, because reading through this has been as boring as ■■■■.

Germany has more immigration and a more relaxed regime because they have a big demographic problem, in that there population is forecast to decline by about 10 million over the next decade due to the low birth rate. Rather different to the UK where the population is exploding.

The container they were in was a short sea box, not a deep sea box. I understand it was one of “Cool Solutions”. Anyone who has done any of that sort of work will know that someone on the inside set it up. There is no way they just slipped in to it. The ferry company would not have shipped it without someone authorising it to be shipped on there account.

The people who were in it, will not be shipped straight back. They will want to hold on to them as witnesses for a court case.

It’s their country just like Australia and Canada belongs to them since independence. In which case who else’s job is it to sort their own countries out. It’s certainly not our job.Yes I was only a factory worker and trunk driver but my part in helping to keep the country’s economy on course was not accepting any zb from employers.Based on supporting union action to maintain living standards and not under cutting other workers.

It’s equally obvious that supporting an anti immigration policy, which stops the import/exploitation of cheap labour, from third world countries, where the workers don’t have the sense or intelligence to follow those ideals,is part of that.

While it’s obvious that the country is slowly going down the tubes because too many indigenous British workers have forgotten all that through a combination of socialism and Thatcherism.IE the way to stop it is through the ballot box in which case we need to be voting for people like Powell rather than Wilson,Callaghan,Thatcher,Blair, and Cameron. If that means being called a heartless racist tough. :unamused:

Where is the proof that Germany is actually allowing in more third world etc immigration.By your logic you’re saying that the German birthrate is declining.Which contrary to the idea of being a negative situation is actually a positive in producing the more advantageous situation of less mouths to feed and support from the same industrial base.

While you’re saying lets fix a problem that doesn’t exist by importing more people to support from foreign no doubt cheaper labour countries like eastern Europe and Asia.Thereby diluting the German indigenous population and demographic.Good luck with selling that idea in the Bavarian heartlands at least. If that doesn’t result in the jackbooted hordes starting to march again nothing will. :open_mouth: :unamused:

Personally i have a lot of sympathy with you. But a German economist will tell you that you need more young working people to pay taxes to support an ageing population. Germany has a long tradition of this, it used to be Turkish guest workers but they can’t really get away with treating them like they used to.
