Anyway to lighten the tone of this thread a little without going too far from the subject. I had to take “the boss” to Hospital today and we called in for a bit of shopping on the way back. In a well known frozen food store I was hustled and bustled along by three “urchins” for want of a better word, they appeared to be alone but at the checkout there was a family roundup. It seemed there were about 8 people in the group and only 3 staff on duty. Chaos ensued at the tills with me and a another gentleman waiting in line!
Eventually another till opened and I managed to get served first. We carried our shopping out followed by this grubby little lad who was acting shifty, we saw him put something under the van wheel, a 10 plate transit with a tow bar. He then sauntered back into the shop with a swagger. Her to be obeyed saw this happen and picked up this bundle and promptly threw them in the bin. It was about half a dozen new toothbrushes still in the wrappers.
Now imagine the scenario, this thieving little toe-rag has nicked these without his parents knowledge, or he was under tuition and has failed miserably. Either way, he will be banjaxed if he tells anyone, or punished for letting the family tradition down

I’m gonna stand along side you Bob ,the last ten years or so of whatever government has been in power has removed more & more freedom of speech from the working man & now this site has sold to a major publisher they just want to tow the party line, i.e nobody is alllowed to offend anybody anymore or give their own opinion unless it agrees with the PC brigade.
I run a business & within the last 6 months have had over £6000.00 worth of theft/ damage done to my property/equpiment by the “travelling community” & yes I can prove it as I have cctv & can show the low life scum on it unfortunatley the Police in general arent very interested in confronting them about it, we even had one of our dog’s stolen which after a tip off my wife got back by brazenely walking into the local " travelling community camp" & getting back as yet again the police were too scared too confront them.
So I stand along Bob let them sue me too it’s about time we stood up for ourselves.
Obviously I don’t expect my post too last very long on here more’s the pity as yet more freedom of speech is removed from the working man!"

Why?
You have not used names or words in your post that are deemed offensive by the law, or insinuated that every member of a certain section of society act in a certain manner so why would we remove it.
that is the ever so simple point that most seem to have missed.
Its not people post that some members of the travelling community misbehave , or take part in criminal acts, sections of all parts of society do that. what we will not allow is racial slurs against all members of a particular part of society or sweeping statements that all do.
My car, and others in the village got damaged or stolen by bunch of lads ,all from white working class familes, does that mean it is right to call all white working class families theiving scumbag vandals… or just those that do that sort of thing?
A member of the travelling community who goes out and thieves is called by the travelling community themselves a ■■■■■… Those that do not do criminal acts find that term when used about them offensive and the courts have agreed.

My brother had just set up another car dealership in York selling Volvos, he already had one in Beverley and one in Hull and they thought it would be a good idea to have a transporter, they bought a then new FL4 with a hydraulic body. This was stolen one night and a couple of days later the mechanic saw it on a council run traveller camp at the back of the garage, the police were called who were unwilling to enter the site as it was not safe for them. My brother and his staff had to watch this thing being cut up and were advised to claim off the insurance. I know about this because the Volvo transporter was going to be mine and there were future plans to run it for third parties on my O licence.

Thank’s for your reply Rikki I do appreciate it, I think the diffrence I myself & possibly others have & this is not your or rbi’s fault although it doesnt help in the frustration we have is that if the /working class families who damaged your car had been caught, they would have been dealt with " admittedley in a fairly limp wristed way no doubt" the travelling community in general are seen as being able to do whatever they like & to get away with it scot free as the relevant authorities that are supposedly there to deal with them or any criminals are too scared too do so, this was even admitted to me less than 3 weeks ago by an extremley frustrated local police offcer, unfortunately certain parts of our varied community are seen as a law unto themselves this is fact & I am happy to stand by what I have stated here.

Sadly Malc this is all too common as you can probably see from my post count I do not post on here very often but I have very strong feelings about this, I could bore you with instance all night about our travelling friends & there tendency to avoid the law bit that could be racist so its better to put up & shut up.

But not every person who lives an alternative lifestyle is a thief or a ■■■■■. quite a lot are, but to label all is not fair… or legal

I think a lot of spines vanished because we let euro[zb]s tell US what to do. The PC brigade has turned us into subservient fools. No you can’t call a spade a spade, it not nice. ■■■■■■■■■ nope they are Muslims. It’s nothing to do with the Euro lot because the same argument of multiculturalism versus forced integration applies just the same in the States.
Maybe the PC zb’s can explain their position in regards to the issue of the name which Guy Gibson VC gave to his pet dog and why he chose it.
