Very pedestrian. He could’ve shaved minutes off that if he ever met an apex he liked enough to get close to!
demonbiker:
- im a biker - advanced instructor
- hes a muppet! with his own video evidence the police are investigating and he will surely get done for dangerous riding
- Ive ridden that road and its not that bad, but, muppets who think they are Barry Sheene come a cropper mostly due to inexperience and running out of talent - not road!
- he is lucky to be alive!
- videos like this give bikers a bad name, if more invested in some training instead of stick on hair for helmet, fancy brake levers/footpegs or race cans, things would be better, but sadly its not seen as cool enough.
^^^^^^This +1000!
Hopefully he’s learnt that the throttle isn’t an on/off switch, it actually allows you to maintain and adjust your speed. Spanner

You just gave your age away
I live within a 2 minute drive of the cat and a couple of sundays ago,the first one of the season, the idiot brigade were out in force,so were the local ambulance service. I could ride the road like the rest of them, but I give it respect, the amount of trucks and tractors on that road regularly make it like a skating rink.
Basically the tool in the video isn`t as good a rider as he thinks.
I stopped going to the Cat and Fiddle because of idiots like this. In fact this idiot so stupid not only can he not ride a bike, he then goes and advertises the fact to all and sundry.
bestbooties:
No sympathy for this sort of organ donor when they get creamed!
Or some pillock truck driver who cant even control a piece of lumbering crap at 56 mph.
Dohhhh.
Yes, they are idiots and apart from someone else having the grim task of scraping up what’s left there never seems to be a lot of evidence of them doing harm to anyone much but themselves. I do think family men that go out for a thrash near the limits are pretty selfish really.

That’s pretty bad trolling, even by your standards.
the cat&fiddle road has always been a bad road not just bikes but as that sign at the cat&fiddle pub stated ride like a knob youll die that made me winch watching that he was lucky
Fair play to him, he didn’t crash in to anyone else, took the swans path rather than causing anyone else to have a bad day because of his mistake. Not a bad effort.
I’m sure his brush with death will spur him on to become a better rider & one day perhaps be as good as the pro’s among us.

. Very true SS. If he wants to run with the big dogs he better learn to ■■■■ up the big trees and take some tuition where maybe he’ll save his and others lives by learning stuff like countersteering and more importantly not letting ambition outweigh talent!
The biker wasn’t up to much, but his equipment & camera were excellent!
Don’t really have much sympathy here.
Too much time is spent trying to educate car drivers on how to keep bikers safe, this is a perfect example of a wasted safety campaign. The best most educated driver cannot prepare for a situation like that.
I’ve always been into fast cars, can’t remember the last car I owned that wasn’t turbo charged, but just because I have a powerful car doesn’t mean every time I drive it I act like I’m going round silverstone. Simple fact is, bikers need to slow down, never gunna happen an until it does all the safety campaigns in the world won’t bring biker death numbers down.
Perhaps he wanted his camera so he could send the film to You’ve Been Framed. The £250 looks like it will come in handy.
On the first Sunday of the clocks going forward , THREE motorcyclists were killed in road traffic accidents in ■■■■■■■■
I have little sympathy for the mindless idiots who think they can treat our roads with no care for anyone else.
Unfortunately , the local Ambulance and Police officers have to gather-up the various bits scattered in the aftermath.
Cheers , cattle wagon man.
Hiya…well he got off light…why the hell dosn’t he go to Oulton park and prove how fast he can go (my be not as fast as he thinks)he,s safe on
the track mostly everyone,s going the same way. i fell sorry for the car driver he must of S… a brick a bike coming towards him at that speed.
I,am not moaning i have 8 bikes i bought one only 2 days ago.

Not always bikers fault though.
I ride pretty much all year round, in the snow, wind and hail, and since the sun has come out it seems like I’m invisible to car drivers, just pulling out of streets and on roundabouts right infront of me, this doesn’t happen as much when the weather’s bad… Jealousy perhaps? I’ve no idea, but coming home from work today I had 4 cars pull out infront of me and at least 3 try and close filtering gaps when they were sat in queues, yet going TO work in the dark and people move to make extra room for me to go through…
Now, I’ve learnt the hard way to always assume the car driver is a homicidal maniac who wants to kill me, I did a defensive riding course (that I had to do to get insurance when I was a dispatch rider) and I’m pretty sure that’s why I’m still here to type this.
I’ve done track days in cars and on bikes and still speed in/on both on the road as do most other road users, so it doesn’t really get it out of your system like people say.
I currently own 2 bikes
1 is a Suzuki XF650 which is a dual purpose high up kind of bike and it really does get quite a bit of respect on the roads except when someone races it (and it loses ), it’s ok from the line 0-60 is around the 5 - 6 second mark, but top speed is only around 90 and after 60 it takes a while to get there.
2 is a 24yr old Yamaha FZR 1000 Exup that is really quick, but due to the positioning on it, my visibility is nowhere near as good, looking over cars, over my shoulder, in my mirrors etc are all really difficult, so it probably takes longer to get to work than the slow bike, and you get a LOT of vehicles that try and race it
