Ice Road Truckers

Is it just me or does anyone else wonder about the totally crap trucks and trailers they use.

Maybe it’s because that if they go through the ice then the loss is not so great - I’m referring to the truck, not the driver :exclamation:

I got the impression that, although it is a risk, there hasnt been one go through for years. Also you would have thought that it would be safer to spread the weight more.

What do the drivers do in the summer?
Sign on for an agency and drive supermarket trollies !! . . .or maybe they just go into the woods and wrestle bears

Had to laugh at the young guy learning to drive with Hugh went for his written test after one days driving lucky he failed Not sure but if hed passed would he have been out on the road? (thought the job was dangerous & this guy couldnt find a gear to pull away ) :unamused: :unamused:
Hope this makes sense you know what i mean

Glorified shunters :smiling_imp:

i still watch it but - the forklift/driver makes me laugh - he talks some amount of zb :open_mouth:

I dunno if this sounds stupid or not, I’m sure the trailer’s wheels are driven via a prop shaft!? kinda makes sense but not

i like the series 1 and 2 i just ignore the commentary and the two dicks that winge like little babies rick and drew god only knows why they got on the ice road well apply to anyway. One thinks he’s hard done to and the other can’t handle a truck from what i’ve seen. sorry for the rant i like to watch it for the different take on life and it being a different place still prefer the southern ice road though.

( language edit ) jd

the Stobart program was billed as being about Stobart and Tinkler
and it did what it said on the can

Yer man crying into the beer all the time would run to his mum if he got a load to M/E or central asia!! I think 1st series was ok but not the 2nd
