I shouldn’t laugh but

I did

They don’t learn do they :frowning:

Though I imagine this one did when he noticed the blue lights

I (like most of us I assume) see these lane three HGV’s on motorways quite regularly. It doesn’t particularly bother me but I do wonder about the mindset of the driver, “does he/she not know the rules?”,” does he/she know the rules but not give a damn?” “Does he/she think that given the scarcity of a police presence just go for it to save 10 seconds?”

So many questions, so little time.

See it quite often on nights
Usually the quicker lorries who are too impatient to wait for lane 2 to clear.

Another one is cutting the chevrons to join the motorway. Last time I was coming out of Keele services s/b, heavy laden fridge just plodding my way up the slip… Mr impatience behind me straight out. Again it doesn’t really bother me, if you’re in that much of a rush crack on.
What Mr Yodel didn’t realise though was that the plain looking white Daf I was driving was a sleeper lol. Calibrated at Lothian DAF. Gave him a little wave as i went by

There is, of course another way of looking at that, and it took me a few minutes to understand the point that was being made.

I don’t recognise that piece of road, but it could be interpreted as a diminishing access lane joining at the point where the left hand lane is reducing to shortly disappear.

If that was the case, you could say that the blue lorry driver, anticipating a 2 lane highway, is merely moving over to allow the white tipper to join.

Is that definitely, not the case?

Same as the A14 in sections signs saying no vehicles over 7.5t to use. Lane 2 between certain hours.
But bet your life most of us have done it especially if lane one is slow and lane 2 is empty.

As for on motorways don’t bother me if they Wana rush n be idiots let them .
There bound to get a ticket or in trouble one day.

Like hitting bridges they are in total car driver mode.To the point of often literally taking the outside lane at multi lane junctions thinking that they can out drag cars from the lights with an artic.

The sign ahead in the distance looks like it’s a 3 lane A road not a motorway ?.Still rubbish lane discipline if not overtaking traffic in lane 2.
