Connect to iTunes and restore.

will i lose app’s or contacts or settings.

So long as you do a backup of data when asked it will save a copy of contacts etc

Hold power button in then press middle button at same time and hold them both in that will reset phone but won’t touch your settings or data

This is basically just a reboot and won’t solve the problem.
As stated, transfer purchases then backup then restore

This could be all that’s required. It’s simple takes 2 minutes and may solve the problem worth a try if you have never done a reinstall through iTunes. It stopped my phone from freezing up.

That method doesn’t stop a phone from freezing up.
It’s the solution for when your phone has frozen/crashed. How else would you reboot without access to the battery?
Yes it’s good practice to reboot phone as first option when trying to fix something but your suggestion wasn’t the correct solution on this occasion.

When you hold lock and the middle button what does the phone do
( it reboots u pillock )
You get battery on iPhone all the time it’s not like you can take it off it’s built in.
Stick to your nokia 3310 you never know you may get to level 2 on snake this time next year.

Yawn, not another novice.
Yes the phone reboots when you do that, like I already said.
It doesn’t actually stop your phone from freezing though, it’s the method to get your phone going again WHEN IT HAS ALREADY FROZEN!!!

If your so smart and clued up then why don’t you post instructions as to how the OP can find out what actually made the phone crash?? And yes it is possible!!
That I would like to see

Oh, and I suggest some work on your English to.
Good day!!

Just re read the thread (had forgot the original post) and turns out the phone hasn’t actually froze or crashed.
Therefore the suggestion of rebooting using the power and home button shows your lack of knowledge.
It does the same as turning the phone off then on again, as the phone hasn’t froze you can just do it using the power button.

And I’m the pillock apparently!!!

Do you sleep with your iPhone.
