Buycrider im only making an assumption of what the fella posted. He was doing 100+ mph on a single carriageway road at night on a notorious road known for fatality crashes. He is a professional driver who relies on his license to put food on the table. There is speeding, then there is speeding where you are risking other peoples safety.
Im not quite white more a ivory white, i’ll hold my hands up i speed in a lorry in a car but i dont rip the ■■■■.
Im not saying he shouldnt get his license back after he’s served his dues, im just saying he sounds like your average nutter i encounter on a regular basis. And your typical nutters either end up in a ditch or in the dole queue because they consistently push the limit on the risks they take.
like i said in an earlier post,i dont make a habit of this, but the once i do,i get caught,my own fault, nobody to blame, only had my c+e for just over a year when it happened, and dont intend on having the same thing happen a second time,i enjoy being out on the road and this has been a lesson to me,but some will say that you never change, well i beg to differ.
I would of said you will have to resit every entitlement that you want back, as in car, class c then c+e. Having 12 points on your licence wont make you very employable though I wouldn of thought!

When I received a 12 month ban some 25 years ago my licence came back without any endorsements on it. I didn’t do the walk of shame but wrote a nice pleading letter and so did the company I was working for at the time. I got a rather stern letter back from Harehills House with a further 3 months without my HGV entitlement.
I was stupid enough to do the same after party trick in the late 90’s and didn’t even get a letter from the TC this time.
Simple don’t bother driving a fast car on British motorways or dual carriageways only foreign ones especially German ones and only use third gear or less on all other British roads.
DonutUK:
Do you really think you should keep your LGV entitlement?
Sorry, if i sound a tad unsympathetic…but i guess that’s because i’m not. I would be more sympathetic if you had been done under totting up dfor a few miles an hour over…but a 100+…? Professional Suicide.
If people choose to drive at 100+ then they have to be prepared to accept the consequences…and if they rely on a DL to earn a living, then why do they do it?
When, or if, you get your LGV back, how many employers will take someone with a recent 12 month ban?
merc 0447. If the comment that I made yesterday came over as a harsh criticism of your post, which it was not really intended to be,I hereby offer my apology.
I put the “Whiter than White” bit in just to wind up any of that brigade who might have been about: Who could then have stepped in an given me a hoofing. It helps to keep me old ticker going at Top Revs.
picture this tho, lifting the logs about 8ft,one decides to roll off the top and turn the opposite way and lodge itself thru the bottom window in my door, now i have air con in all weather, lol

This is how I like threads like this when guys admit to stuff because to be honest with you I have probably did most of it but reading posts like those showing what life could be like if your lucky to get anything make me treasure my license, you must be counting the hours bud.
good luck to you bobert you made a mistake and realised what you had done, that pontificating prat who admits to speeding in his lorry and his car (but not over 100 mph mr or mz TC) has no right to critisise you. That seems to happen on this site quite regularly ( remember the tanker driver who recently had that incident on the A1 at Aberford ? ) he was exonerated of all blame after appearing before the traffic dragon and still was critisised
for his actions by his so called peers. One even suggested that a test be conducted on an airfield to see if the “offence” could be duplicated, how many air fields do you know that have the same gradient as Aberford bank? I also see you have found a job for the juration of your ban which is fortunate as im sure you would have got even more stick from the he,s a parisite brigade.
looks like you`d better get used to using public transport and shanksies for a while, your (zb- d ) mate … unlucky .

Ive had 3 vxl’s in my time ‘N’ reg corsa 1.5d ex cop car, solid reliable motor… ‘52’ plate 1.2 corsa, solid reliable motor… ‘06’ plate astra 1.9 CDTi, solid reliable car until the gearbox fell to bits @ 42k costing me a couple grand to fix, it started overheating aswel, so cut my losses and got a Kia
