I am looking for photo's from the company Frans Maas

Bert,
did a trip to Sweden last week, via Harwich-Hook ferry. Stopped in services to get fuel, and look what I found! Even more of a suprise was that it is one of my old trailers (see the TML number on the doors), no longer Dutch registered, it is now Polish registered.

Hi Dieselcowboy,

Nice photos of the old Frans Maas trailer. Special an old trailer where you did workt with in the Tyota work. It’s now a shame that 2 years later everything is gone. Sam times you see an trailer what was an new one by the take over by D.S.V.
The rest is sold to the eastern Europe where the name Frans Maas stil go’s on only no one nows it.
Where have you been in Sweden? Let me no. Maybe i been there also.

Regards, Bert Wolters.

Bert,
I excpect you have been there, I only went to Stockholm. Still, a good trip, beautiful weather and no rush to get there.

Dieselcowboy,

Thats the best way to drive. No rush and by time the ferry. Indeed in Stockholm i have been plenty of times. The office was in Vestabarga and the lager from Frans Maas fist in Hannige, then in Vestabarga and later in Tumba.

Regards, Bert

Here we have Transportbedrijf Erik Groot from Nieuwekerk a/d IJssel. This company pulled for Frans Maas Waddinxveen.

Hello Makem Missile’

If you look at this forum on the site " I a’m looking for photos from Frans Maas" you find photos from Chalkey’s son, about his dad, at the time by Frans Maas U.K., Brownhills. Also from Roadways Int., Aldridge, who pulled for Frans Maas U.K., Brownhills.

In 2001 Royal Frans Maas buy the German transport company Kombitrans Spedition from Hamburg. We did plenty of pulling for Kombitrans Frans Maas to and from Hamburg.

Frans Maas startet also depots in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Al the transport was done by sub contractors. Sometime with the name Frans Maas on the tractors.

Bert.

Hope you have a nice holiday - 4 weeks in France, sounds fanatastic.
A couple spotted over the last few weeks, most trucks in UK now are DSV livery, not so many Frans maas now.

Regards

Ant

Hi Richey.

I was a Yare Haulage driver from 1999-2002 so often called into Brownhills. Would be interesting to see any photos that you have.
