hiya,
Just passed the Frans Maas depot at Chester le Street / Birtley still painted blue and yellow
but DSV painted on the wall, the yard was empty apart from one car in there, unable to see
very much now the trees are very tall around the fenced area, don’t know if anybody is now
using the place looks very quiet and the gates appear to be chained up.
thanks harry long retired.

In the Netherlands the mainoffice at Venlo Noorderpoort, Depot Groningen are now 5 years later scrapt. I wil show more photos lateron in this story about Frans Maas.

Bert Wolters:
Hi Marcus,
I have try to make an best picture of that DAF 2500 by the lager of Frans Maas Brownhills.
This picture i fond on internet It is an DAF 2500 from CPS Haulage. Was this colours for Frans Maas of own company colours of CPS Haulage.
Best regards, Bert
I took this motor to Milan when i worked for K&J. My previous motor was a DAF 2500 so driving this beast with the pus gearstick was a treat…I always struggled to get the ■■■■ thing into reverse. I think Alan askew got it when I came back. might be wrong, but I’m sure he took it away after me
FatboyMark:

Hi Stellan, your friend had right. It was better to drink coffee out a mug from a proper companie. Also later BVT was taken over by Frans Maas in 1995 of 1998 i belive. I Think at that time Frans Maas was near the Oil terminale by the high bridge.
Do you have photos of the time you was pulling fore B.V.T.?
Al the best, Bert
hi everyone,
I fond this photo on the webnet.
Who nows more about this truck, company and depot of Frans Maas U.K. he was working four.

Reg Danne-
Hi Bert! Yes its in sweden at the DSV terminal in Helsingborg.
Its my truck and i was delivering a rental trailer at the PNO yard at the same stree, So i just went to DSV to take shower and saw the trailer and hocked up and took a picture
Well i still see some FRANS MAAS trailes but not so much any more sad to say
But some Russian trucks still have them… And some Estonian… And Latvian…
