Hungarocamion are back

Yesterday I joined the M20 London bound at Maidstone, filtered through to the main carriageway to my utter amazement I saw a very familiar yellow sided trailer.
.
Yellow trailers are not uncommon you may say, correct, however this one had not been seen for a couple of decades.
.
In front of me was a brand new mega clean tri-axle tautliner in the old style Hungarocamion livery.
.
I slowly overtook it and it was being pulled by a brand new fully skirted FH Volvo in the old original deep green and red livery on a Hungarian number plate. It did look nice.
.
I drove for M&S Shipping in the day and we regularly loaded the Hungarian motors at Ilford and at Stratford Lift.
.
As I was on my own was unable to get a piccky, shame though.

Interesting, but as Hungary’s present leader seems to have developed a nostalgia for Russia and against NATO and the EU, perhaps it is not surprising.

If I was to meet Victor Orban I would ask him, ‘just what did your Dad tell you about 1956, it certainly wasn’t NATO or EU tanks on the streets of Budapest’.
