How do you open the engine bay on mercedes 17 ton class 2 ?
Most of the class 2 i have driven so far just flip up from the bottom but I was in a 17 ton merc and had no idea how to open it.
Sorry the question is a bit vague
It’s only a half bonnet and you can’t see anything other than the oil filler cap when you do. All your checks are conducted by the computer when you turn the ignition on.

A push up knob button at the bottom of the Grill
b A pull leaver inside the cab drivers side like in a car / could be in the door frame like Scania did

Should be 2 lift up catches each end of the front grill slats to release the bonnet.
No catches on my old 58 plate Axor. Just give the grille a good pull!!
