How thick are some drivers

Another one who’s done his 35 hrs coc training , does another one yesterday that coc bloke tells him today h as got chucked out , he’s now on another one today , that’s 1 1/2 days he’s paid for / sat her for when he’s already done his hours
Not exactly hard to check is it , and he’s the 3 rd one
Bad enough listening to these idiots when you’ve got too , never mind when you could of had a alldayer at the pub instead

Pot calling kettle black there Dozy :unamused:

Once you have done your 35 hours, you can if you so wish start on your next block of 35 and they will be banked until it is due again, so technically you could do 70 hours over 2 weeks if you want.

Only once your new card has been issued, but once you get the new card (they come pretty rapidly) you can as you rightly say bosh off the next 35.

Every day…

In every way, I’m getting better.

You can’t be serious , I spent most of the 4 days asleep yet I know that’s incorrect

It’s a joke rob , it’s the same crap day after day , year after year , only good thing is if it’s online you can sleep if you position yourself out of the view of the camera , go for a wander

Well I certainly couldn’t sit 35 hrs of cpc followed by another 35 hrs of cpc over perhaps a period of a month or so. 35 hrs of cpc training over a 5 year period is punishment enough. But looking at the positives, if there are any positives, at least I speak and understand English!

Whenever a DCPC course is offered at my place I always take up the offer even when I have gone beyond the 35 hours. It just might be due to the fact that its always on a Saturday and we get paid time and a half for the day…kerching!
Just saying!

A lot of people did the extra 35hrs online during lockdown and banked the extra hours, inc myself. The new card should arrive after May 2024

You can’t be serious.

Yes, but there will still be loads who leave it all until the last minute, and nearer to the common renewal date they’ll be wondering why they can’t book onto courses at the drop of a hat.

And yet we still get plenty of posts from experienced drivers who say they’ve been driving for 25 years but still can’t work out weekly rest/daily rest/compensation/pick your topic

There’s been so many legislative changes in the past few years (EU 2020/1054, mobile devices, HC & VRUs, Categorisation of Defects etc) anyone who thinks it’s the same old stuff over and over should be going to a different training provider instead of the same old out-of-date merchants.

Not to mention there’s a wider range of topics that can get you DCPC hours: First Aid, “the one with the bikes” aka Safe Urban Driving, and of course ADR (with tanks that can get you 28 of your hours)

According to DVSA this is said to be the last time the “common renewal date” will be a major issue for the industry, after this time the renewal dates will be more evenly spaced.

Anyway, it’s a bit too soon for the DCPC-is-a-load-of-rowlocks threads, plenty of time for that in the run up to 09/09/24.

And yet one becomes professionally competent without understanding the content of the “training” due to poor English. Anyone justify that one?
