If you want to see how not to back on a loading bay and have some time to waste watch this.
Smacks of a new driver, constantly over correcting, I would bet we have all seen it and probably done it at some point, mine was when I was new in Felixtowe docks trying to reverse under a container with a skelly, an old driver came to me and said “son, pull out and when you reach me back in and give it half a turn to the left” bang on and straight under, we all have to learn.
OK. I watched about 30 seconds or so. Instead of filming him - why not get out and at least spot for him? Ask if he needs help? Give advice? Bunch of ■■■■■■■■■ the lot of 'em…
Seems there were enough there to give him a hand.
To many born experts perhaps?
What can I say, the person driving needs more practice and the prick with the camera needs to get a life
I will never understand how anyone can stand and film an obviously inexperienced driver struggling and not offer help.
I’d have told the prick parked opposite the bays to do one.
Have you ever noticed when theres a parking space a brit will reverse in but all foreigners drive in
I turned into a busy London backstreet once and found the road blocked by a Moroccan lorry trying to reverse blind-side into an entrance designed for Victorian horses and carts. All the bystanders thought it was hilarious that this ‘■■■■■■■■■ was struggling. I pulled up in the centre of the road, put on my four-way flashers, jumped out and directed him into his slot shouting instructions in Arabic. He thought I’d come from another planet I think. I’ll bet the cameraman in the video has never been outside his own country. Robert
I have watched people struggle with basic reverses before and got out to offer another set of eyes and more often than not have been given a cold shoulder… Probably doesn’t help that i look about 12 not that it should matter… So now i just won’t bother…
with a finnish trailer he’s working out of lübeck or rostock, pulling ferry trailers all over europe, 6-8 weeks at a time. I suspect if you are a newly passed c+e holder in poland, it might be the only line of work willing to take on a newbie right away as they are always looking for drivers. the frog watching probably wouldn’t have guided him even if he was waiting in line after him.
Poor ■■■■■■, obviously new to going backwards and if that’s an auto Daf, it won’t make it any easier.
Didn’t damage anything though and got there in the end. It can always end worse
I have here a couple of pictorial messages for the driver behind the camera. Robert
