for my class 2 i paid 800 plus 90 for the test with top gear halesowen 4 years ago
for my class 1 last year i paid think it was 890 with ctt in wolves i failed with 4 minors 1 serious i paid them antoher 290 for retest waited 5 weeks for a retest still did not have date so i got my money back
i work for langdons redditch now,im doing my class1 with them in nov it is costing 500 plus test fee of 90 and if i need a retest i only pay for retest fee not for hire of truck, but the bonus of it is i still get paid weeks wages while im training.
they deduct the cost out of my wages of £20 a week.
but it costs them more as they pay for instructor to come up from bridgewater put him in a hotel for week, and because all our trucks are autos they hire a manual while im on training and if i need a retest it stays at depot while i wait for a retest date
just hope i pass class 1 this year as i had loads of grief with ctt last year

I used LGV Trainers in Northampton - they are an offshoot of SW Wrefords.
Great trainer - Jeff - cost me £750 for the rigid in May & £1080 for the CE in July, passed both first time.
Mine should have been £950 with Scania for 5 days - test extra £89.
Hi all done my c and c&e with a company called Alex Mcara in Peth and must say i highly recomend them it was 2 to 1 training and cost £1500 all in.
Only thing i would say is that one of the examiners in the Perth depot is one grumpy git and on my c exam he really got to me and even though i passed i still felt annoyed with my result.
When i sat my class one i had the same examinor and i chose not to speak to him and only follow the directions that he gave me and found that this worked better for me as i was not distracted by him and got a much better result.
Anyway 
it cost me £1500.
Class 2 - Passed 2nd time around, including medical and theory, 16 hours traing + 2 tests = £900
Class 1 - Currently failed 2nd test and its standing me at £1100.
Retest’s are £256 a go with the company I am using.
