Looking for some figures of how much people can and currently earn as an owner operator and if anyone has made the transition from owner operator to fleet owner and any pitfalls or opportunities to look out for?

Not much.
Generally you would be better financially being employed as a driver if you’re looking at how much money you can make. Yes as an OD or fleet operator you don’t have a boss breathing down your neck, but you have customers breathing down your neck instead.
Your other post suggest you earn £30-32k, you would be lucky to get any where near that as an OD in my opinion. You may have a good year and earn £50k profit, but you would normally use this to buy a newer truck, trailer, refurb equipment etc. As an OD if you take a lot of money out as a wage you will be putting it back in again when your engine or gearbox goes.
