How many operators license can i put my name too

Hi

I am currently a director for my friends transport business aswell as my name being on the operators license.
Is it possible for me to setup another operators license in a different business for myself without causing any complications for my friends business? And run them separately at the same time?

Why would any qualified TM need to ask that?

It’s a basic part of the TMCPC study course and a frequent question in paper 1, the multichoice exam, that external TMs can be named on up to 4 licences as long as they don’t exceed 50 vehicles in total.

Also, all work, including work as part of being a director, must fit inside an absolute (ie not over a reference period) 48 hour working week , including travel to and from the operators.
