As animal says on another thread we were married 22 April 1957 after 4 years courting. That makes it the big 50 for us. and what a day it was.

We had a “smallish” celebratory lunch at a local hotel and had planned a party back home inviting quite a few more but others had different idears and the last speech ended with

" Pack your bags when you get home and be ready by 6.o’clock"

at 1745hrs 20 scooters turned up to ■■■■■■ us on our way,

(we had an ■■■■■■ of scooters on our wedding day)

we had been booked into the hotel where we had spent our first night together 50 years ago

we were told later that the party we had planned at our house had been a great success and went on until after 22.00hrs

:open_mouth: how the hell did that happen :open_mouth:

Been married 27 years (2nd time around 9 years with wife no.1) this November and still going strong even with all the ups and downs we don,t argue much now either as I have learnt to switch off when the need arises!!!

And no I still don,t like wedding cake! :unamused: :unamused: :unamused:

God made 3 things ■■■ / WOMEN / BEER and if he made anything better he kept it to himself!   :unamused: :unamused:

Got to go now as “matron” says it is time for cocoa & lights out!  :unamused: :unamused: :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

1st Mrs Gardun lasted 7 yrs (if anyone had an itch it should have been her!!)
2nd Mrs Gardun made it to 10 yrs and bore an offspring who continues to live with me emptying my wage packet.
3rd Mrs Gardun is not yet Mrs until I give up smoking, but have so far survived 4 yrs. Also inherited a (step)-daughter who double-checks empty wage packet

Since I’ve recently been diagnosed type 2 diabetic there’s no more wedding cake for me

Terry and I met through an advert in the truckstop news. We married last year and our story was in two issues of the t/n.
