2nd May 1969 and it must have been love, I let her drive my Scammell Highwayman on the Kirtlebridge Cafe car park, much to the amusement of the other drivers who could just see her peering through the steering wheel, remember they were “sit up and beg” driving positions.
And as an after thought thats what I have been doing ever since, begging. Not meant as a joke either.

yep thats right Mothertrucker… we tied the knot in Pafos last wednesday, so we’ve been married nearly 8 days and we’re loving every minute… got our 2nd reception this saturday then come monday the rollercoaster will continue as i’m back to work, hoping the agencies will get me some Class 1 work now i’ve got my licence… woo hoo… back down to earth with a bump… hehe :laughing:

My mum and dad have been married 47 years (he was a merchant seaman and then an international driver :laughing: :wink: ).
Being away now and then keeps a marriage fresh i reckon :wink:
