How Long Is Your CV

My CV is very boring. I started driving tar tankers in 1965 and through contract changes and takeovers I retired driving petrol tankers 43 years later. I never had to apply for a job in all that time.

in all my years ive never had to have or invent a cv.
anytime i wasnt self employed then any interview was based on who have you worked for…thats ok then…when can you start.
when in ireland its been the same with the addition of " can you go out on tonights boat"

^^^^ I’ve never had or required a CV either. That’s not some badge of honour or “look at me look at me” thing, it’s simply that every job I’ve ever had was by either being poached or simply by turning up somewhere and saying “gissa job”!

In no particular order,

David Bratt’s
Wreford’s Transport
Maritime

Carlsberg/Norbert Dentressangle/XPO
Kappa Packaging

England
Scotland
Wales

Plus there was a job interview at EM Rogers for Euro work, but I turned it down.

Nor have I. And in actual fact I’ve never even interviewed for most, most given over the phone. Despite all those jobs I think I’ve done 3 maybe 4 job interviews in my entire life
