just wondering what route people have taken to get where they are now in terms of vehicle driven/job worked etc
2004 I started at 17 on an apprenticeship with Wm Armstrong of Longtown, passed my class 2 at 18 and was out on the road doing multidrop for a few years with this
2006 decided to move down south as I’ve family there, ended up working for Priddys Transport (Later QTR Transport) for a few years. Initially local multidrop but later some national work. with these
2008 I was feeling a little homesick and wanted to come back to Carlisle, ended up working for ASD Metals and doing a bit of Recovery
later that same year I was offered a job back down south with Cobley transport out of their Thatcham depot. Took that and was back on national work.
was only there a few months and a job came up with the MOD which i jumped at.
2009 With the MOD was one of if not the best job I ever had, multiple driving courses and got to drive some funky stuff. Actually gained my PCV licence out of it. But all good things come to an end and I went in search of something else.
2010 At this point I had decided to finally move back home to Carlisle for good, so I did some casual work.
and I had a stint in the Office at Wincantons - not for me!
Late 2010 back in Carlisle and I started with Canute
before going for my class 1 this year
