Does anyone know of any software which can calculate drivers hours in advance, mainly looking for weekley rest requirements.
Trying to plan jobs across 2 days is doing my head in when it comes to working out weekly rest!
Alternatively, is it as simple as taking the time the last WR ended and adding 144 hrs which is when the next one needs to start?
There has been a long and at times slightly heated thread in the PDF on this subject recent.y
The two possible interpretations of the rules regarding weekly rest are “6 shifts/cards” or “6x24h = 144h” from the end of the previous weekly rest.
It is my opinion that the second of those two is the correct interpretation and that you can use as many cards as you like as long as you start your next weekly rest no more than 144h after the end of the previous one. This would seem to be VOSA’s interpretation too.
However others disagree with me and I’ve no idea how it is interpreted by the various European authorities.
